Set in Fortuna, 5.7 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Monara offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. Very modern room with comfortable bed and excellent shower. The view from the balcony was amazing. Angela and Armando were great hosts and the free night tour of the gardens on our first night was fantastic. Would recommend the sloth tour with Armando - we saw a lot of sloths and they were naturally in the wild unlike some other tours. Cannot recommend this place enough, everything was perfect.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a garden, Hotel El Jardin is located in Montezuma town centre and less than 100 meters from the beach. WiFi is available in public areas and is free of charge. Absolutely loved this spot. Great location right in downtown Montezuma. The pool and jacuzzi was clean, super relaxing, and I surprisingly had it all to myself under the stars. Wifi was decent, minifridge kept everything cool, and i loved that the windows weren’t able to let those walking past see in. Gabriel had wonderful recommendations.

Discover the charm of Hotel Secreto La Fortuna, a quiet retreat in the heart of Fortuna, Costa Rica. Probably the best choice of a hotel in La Fortuna town - spotlessly clean room, incredibly friendly staff, amazing garden and of course, the volcano view. 5 min walk to all restaurants, sodas ans shops in La Fortuna. There is a resident 🦥 and we had numerous sitings of iguanas and birds.

Featuring an extensive garden, a sun terrace with swimming pool, spa treatments and free Wi-Fi throughout, this hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from the Arenal Volcano National Park and from La Fortuna... The hotel was a "horizontal" complex in that all rooms were at ground level with just two rooms per building and the buildings are scattered throughout the property. As the rooms were on ground floor the view was limited, I guess because of privacy concerns by just stepping out the the door the the Arenal volcano is right in front of you, an amazing view! The breakfast was a well stocked buffet and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. For a less formal atmosphere we tried the excellent Sushi bar at the pool that is open til 10pm. (There is also a pizza place but we didn't try them). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours are available at the hotel and we took one to the volcano and another to jungle tour with suspension bridges. Both were good but we preferred the jungle tour. The thermal water hot pool was a great place to relax after hiking and sightseeing. If you have a car and feel a little adventurous the "Rio Celeste" in the Tenorio Volcano National Park is worth the trip. Its about 90mins from the hotel but be aware that the walking trail in the park is about 5 to 6 Km to take in all the viewing points and places can be uneven. To get to the waterfall there are perhaps 200 steps down (and then back up again!)
