Excellent location, straight out of a post card. Great food and service. The hot stone bath was under maintenance so we couldn't do that.

This hotel perfectly combines modern luxury with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with all the amenities one could need. Hotel is located in city centre where is very close to the shops and restaurants.

This is a fantastic hotel. The view of peaceful Bhutan from this hotel, up on the mountain, is incredible. I woke up everyday with a beautiful mountain view through floor to ceiling windows. The beds and pillows are so comfortable and clean. The food is great and the staff is some of the best I've ever seen around the world. If you come to Bhutan and do not stay in this hotel, you are missing out!

The hotel was very comfortable and all the staff were very kind.Their service was excellent and they looked after me very well.

It felt like I was visiting a close friend or a relative. The staff as well as the owner Mr Ugyen were exceptional hosts - extremely helpful, and polite which made our stay a wonderful experience. Right from great recommendations for food, places to visit, as well as for the very pleasant conversations with the owner during the cold Thimpu evenings - this trip will always be memorable. I rarely write recommendations, but this place and the people definitely deserve it. I wouldn't hesitate even for a second to book Kisa Villa again if I ever get a chance to visit thimpu again.

Our recent stay at Zhiwa Ling was nothing short of extraordinary, not just for the serene beauty and comfort the hotel offers, but more so for the unparalleled compassion and support shown by the staff during a very unexpected and difficult time for our family. Upon arriving in Bhutan, we were captivated by the charm of Paro town and the hotel room and grounds. However, my mother suddenly fell ill, and the response from the Zhiwa Ling team was was nothing short of exceptional and deeply moving. From the moment we sought help, the staff treated us not as guests, but as their own family. They coordinated immediate medical support, ensured our comfort at every step, and went out of their way to check on her throughout each day and night we were there. Their empathy, warmth, and sense of responsibility were truly remarkable. In a foreign country, far from home, it's rare to find such genuine human connection. The entire experience reminded us that hospitality, at its best, is about heart, not just service. To the Zhiwa Ling team—thank you. We will never forget your kindness. You not only made our stay comfortable, you gave us strength when we needed it most. We would like to especially thank Pema who was very kind at reception, Pemba the amazing manager and Sonam our incredible driver. Pemba and Sonam, in particular, stayed with us each step of the way guiding and reassuring us. They became our extended finally. Same for Zhiwa Ling Accent and team who treated us with warmth and love We will surely visit all of you again, even if it’s just to say hello!

Friendly staff always ready to help. Beautiful location and good food. The place is as peaceful as it gets.

Location Room Size Facilities Breakfast

Solid 3 star hotel near the Tiger's Nest, located about 10 minutes drive from Paro town. Staff itself really make the place, welcoming me, helping me with all my specific and whimsical needs (e.g. mailing postcards, serving drinks late at night, finding power adapters, etc). There is a restaurant and a coffee shop located on premises, which is comforting and convenient. The rooms are normal but comfortable, neither luxurious nor basic. Price is average, mid-range as well.

Best breakfast we had during 15 days in Bhutan. The home-made pastries were just delicious, and the service was excellent. The views on the paddy fields and the Paro dzong from both the bedroom and the dining hall were breath-taking. The background music at breakfast soothing and relaxing. This hotel is a very good, reasonably priced choice if you want to be close to Paro town center and are not interested in one of the many deluxe accommodations scattered around the valley in isolated places.

Perfect and comfortable stay, with family including elderly parents and our toddler daughter. Hotel had all necessary facilities, good choice of food, great location and very very helpful staff. Using the Indoor heated swimming pool in the cold weather was the highlight !
