There are not enough stars, no number big enough to rate properly the stay we had at Gert and Janice’s. The little and charming stone house in their garden is just simply amazing, with all the confort needed and great accommodations. The location, on the top of the hill offers great views on the sea and on Mantigue Island below. It also has a cooler climate, which felt really nice in a journey in the Philippines where it can be really hot sometimes. A true oasis of the Camiguin heights. But most of all, our hosts were the nicest, very kind, considerate and lovely. We really enjoyed spending time with them. The breakfasts were the best meals we had in the country so far, after a month and a half traveling around. Everything is fresh and comes from their own garden or nearby, so they can make sure of the origin and healthiness of their products, and it is of course delicious, very well prepared by the couple. We extended our stay, and still were sorry to leave. They made our stay in Camiguin simply unbelievable and unforgettable. We couldn’t be more grateful for their welcome, and simply to have met such nice people in a paradise place.

The kitchen was very convenient - we cooked breakfast and dinner every night. The small outdoor space was great in the mornings to relax and enjoy a coffee. The hosts were very responsive when we needed things and their dogs kept us company the whole trip. Would love to come back again.

The rice paddy villas feature an over-sized hot tub for two while the beach villas are situated right on the beach, facing White Island. All villas have a terrace that open up to views of the nature. Private bathroom comes with free toiletries. Our standalone unit (Beach Villa) was simple but had all the amenities we needed. The big surprise was the bathtub on the floor above it that had a view of the beach and the night sky. Topping it off was the homemade ice cream - a must have...

However, as soon as I arrived here, I wished I spent more than a night. Looking to go back to Camiguin. This house specifically has strong WiFi, a lot of utensils available, and the rooms with AC were very comfortable. They had first aid kit available which was highly appreciated.
