I'm genuinely happy to have spent some time at Ines and Felipe's. Everyone is super kind and we had the luck of being there while the family cooked for other community members and hosted a session of Easter chants, to which we have been allowed to take part. Ronald was great, he picked me up from the port in his boat (for a fee I was happy to pay) and took me to his island, he and his wife had everything I needed for an island experience, they made me dinner, let me take the kayak out and event watched while I went for a quick dip in the chilly lake. It is a very comfortable place to stay but don't expect five star accommodations it is more like a really nice glamping setup which is what you should be looking for on a floating island!

The couple taking care of us was very warm and accommodating, especially with the meals, as it was one vegetarian person in the family. We stood 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The food was every day different and plenty. The price for the meals is different, it depends if it is vegetarian, it contains cheese, or fish or meat. Lake Titicaca is a flight of stairs away an there is a nice beach and clear water to take a dip (water temperature 10-12 degree). There are nice walks on the hills nearby to viewpoints and small ruins.
