The location is not far from the downtown area but far enough to have a relaxing stay. You can easily walk to small Adams Peak and the 9 arch bridge from there. The host was a wonderful gentleman who made sure my stay was an excellent one and provided me with useful information during my stay. He even arranged my transfer to Trincomalee which I appreciated. The room itself was very comfortable with a fan that kept the room at a nice temperature as the nights are cool.Nice bed and good hot water pressure.

We picked Nethsara because it was a family run accommodation just outside the centre. We thought it would be friendly, peaceful with great food. We also wanted to meet and support local people rather than just stay in a big hotel. Nethsara was this and much more. The room was spotless, had a great shower, a fridge and a kettle. It had a fan though we didn't need it. Madusha was friendly and hospitable. She cooked a great Sri Lankan breakfast which was so big we had enough fruit to eat in the evening. Upon request, she made us dial and hoppers. She also did our washing for a good price. She put us in touch with a lovely lad who became our tuk-tuk driver for the duration ( he charged a very fair rate and can be trusted to give you a price that undercuts other local drivers- just go with him. He is called Kavi) The view is really beautiful and you can see Ella Temple in the distance-- go, it is fabulous.

The family room was great! Two stories, both balconies (up and down) have a lovely veiw. Excellent bed with the best soft linen, good shower, everything so comfortable. Great breakfast served to the balcony with a choice of western or Sri Lankan. The manager was so nice and did everything he could to help. Nice and quiet, but close to the center. We recommend it!

The absolutely perfect place for couples! High above the bustle of town, this stand-alone cottage with a private patio set in a lush garden is a mountain oasis. A/c is not needed due to the elevation and fans both inside and outside. Although a solid 30 minute walk from town its worth the peace and quiet and the walk is easy mitigated by renting a scooter (which I strongly suggest) or, if you are uncomfortable with a scooter the host can arrange a prompt and inexpensive tuk tuk. The breakfast is delicious and varied and the host is super responsive and gracious. A bonus is one can start the hike to Ella Rock from the doorstep of the property (+/- 3 hours). My advice is to absolutely stay more than one night!

Sapu is the man. He is nice, friendly, efficient and ten other things more. Rooms are comfortable with a lot of eye for detail. Stunning views from the balcony as well. Great breakfast as well. . A special mentioning (and thanks) to Kavi, smiling and wonderful tuktuk driver (and neighbour). Go go.

An incredible place with amazing views and very friendly, attentive people. The accommodation is super cozy and very clean. They also offer a free tuk-tuk service to take you to the city center, which is a great bonus. Breakfast is complete and comes with stunning views. They were always attentive to anything we needed. Highly recommended!
