I had also birthday during our stay and the hotel staff prepared a wonderful dinner right at the sea, with Prosecco and wonderful decoration (it was a surprise: they wrote “Happy Birthday” and my name with little stones - very accurate and with details) and a cake special for me (they need to buy it outside!) It was really a wonderful stay :-)

Unawatuna Beach is a 10-minute drive away while it takes 15 minutes by car to reach Galle Fort. Facilities are super peaceful and you can get to Galle Fort etc in a 200LKR tuk tuk Breakfast great and varied each day Pool lovely and clean Most of all, the service. Dinal and Chalingdu (forgive an typo) were honestly the best

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. It is a three minute walk to the Unawatuna Beach and a 15 minute drive away from the historic 16th - 17th century Galle Fort. The hotel garden is exceptinal. I believe they are the best one in Unawatuna. The breakfast is beyond expectations. Pool is lovely for the familys, we prefer to swim in the sea. They have a private beach but maybe it may be season effect, the sea was so wavy. There are good beaches reachable by tuk tuk.
