Villa Nottola is a former noble residence in the countryside of Montepulciano, besides the namesake winery. It offers a sun terrace with swimming pool.

The elegant rooms of Villa Nottola feature ceilings with original wooden beams and brick vaults. The walls are painted in soft natural colours matching the Tuscan art furnishings. Everything! I could not ask for a better accommodation in Montepulciano. The room is big, charming and very clean. Breakfast is ample, and the view from this place is absolutely breathtaking! Plus points that they have their own wine tasting (their own brand of Nobile di Montepulciano is amazing) and restaurant. But the absolute best thing about Villa Nottola is their staff. Their sincere hospitality and friendliness are what I will most remember.

The farmhouse is run by a young Italian couple and has been carefully restored to offer a swimming pool and Tuscan restaurant serving traditional cuisine and a wide range of wines. The estate also contains a charming living room with a fireplace and 3 dining rooms furnished in a country style according to the owners’ creative tastes. Excellent food. Everything felt incredibly fresh, which for me is a huge bonus. The staff was lovely and available by email for any question I had even before arrival. The setting is pastoral—you see green on every side. There’s a horse farm where you can go for a ride. Truly charming. We didn’t try the spa, but my husband had an in-room massage and was very pleased. Very clean. Recommended for anyone looking to escape all the city noise. A car is essential.

This farm stay has a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking. The farm stay features family rooms. This was our second visit, and once again, we were not disappointed. The staff are truly exceptional. A special thanks to Amira from the restaurant, the attentive waiters, the gardener who keeps the grounds beautifully maintained, the housekeeping team for their excellent work, and of course, the owner Matteo and the wonderful Lorena. Lorena is a true gem—warm, welcoming, and always making sure we feel right at home. She even helped us organize a small birthday celebration, offering great ideas. Her hospitality skills are outstanding. We enjoyed a lovely wine tasting paired with cheese and ham. We also purchased some of their delicious, locally produced olive oil and a few bottles of wine. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful—perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s quiet throughout the day, creating a wonderfully relaxing environment. You can enjoy breakfast ( small buffet with good selection of bread, croissant, cake, egg, hams, cheese, juices coffee etc) and dinner ( à la carte) at their restaurant, where the meals are consistently delicious. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. For those who prefer to avoid stairs, I recommend the ground-floor rooms facing the vineyards. We’ll definitely be coming back.

CastelBigozzi is surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, 12 km from San Gimignano. It offers an outdoor swimming pool with hydromassage, and rustic, air-conditioned rooms. You can book free guided excursions on the Via Francigena path. Absolutely amazing breakfast, very friendly staff, beautiful views, quiet property just up the hill from town, for Via francigena walkers, a good stop before Monterriggioni, a little more pricey, but well worth it, you will not be disappointed!

Country Resort Guadalupe is in the peaceful Maremma countryside, 10 minutes' walk from Montepescali Train Station, and a 3-minute drive from the SS1 national road. The nearest beaches are Follonica and Castiglione della Pescaia. An excellent hospitality and a beautiful place surrounded by greenery. Great interiors. We had a late check in and early check out - even it was beyond reception working hours it was no problem to do all check-in by email. The manager offered to provide us a breakfast box waiting for us in a room because of our very early check out before standard breakfast hours. I really appreciate it. I wish I could stay there longer!

This place is a true gem — beautiful, well-organized, and tastefully designed. We stayed with our dogs and enjoyed plenty of walking options nearby. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning!
