The design of the house is stunning and a wonderfully peaceful environment with a lot of privacy. The view from the window was truly spectacular. The location is ideal if you want to visit Lake Myvatn, Godafoss, Akureyri or Husavik. Our daughter had a broken finger before we arrived at Svartaborg, so we decided to stay in the apartment the next day. That turned out to be the best decision. The apartment was fully equipped for cooking and entertainment, allowing us to rest comfortably. The owner provided clear instructions for finding the house, and it was easy to locate, even when arriving after dark. He also helped us with any questions we had. We hope to visit Iceland again and will definitely return!

We stayed at the holiday home for one night as a family of 3. The home is spacious, the beds are food and the kitchen was well equipped. Indeed the hot water smells of sulfur and it must be connected to a hot spring. We did the rafting on the same day and they also had sulfur smelling water so it is normal there. No issues, just use the cold water to cook. Showering is no issue and my wife has commented on how the water in the north of Iceland is not drying her skin (like in Europe). We would easily stay here again
