Had a wonderful time at Cottage Sataplia. Girogi was an amazing host, helped us with everything and served an incredible breakfast. The location is extremely serene and peaceful. They have an extremely friendly dog as well. I stayed here for one day. Planning a longer trip to Kutaisi next time just to say at this place.

The property itself is hundreds of years old, and has been amazingly and artistically renovated to retain it's old world charm with modern amenities. It is one of the best architectural restorations I have seen in Georgia; timeless, classy yet understated. The studio itself is HUGE, and equipped with a compact kitchenette and all the essentials including a mini refrigerator. A twin hotplate is also provided if you need to cook or heat up takeaways, which I found very useful. The room was well-heated and the showers were piping hot. There is also air conditioning for the summers, and the massive old stone walls help cool the room. Since the rooms are both detached with the entrance straight off the cul-de-sac, you can come and go as you please. The location is simply fabulous, in a quiet cul-de-sac leading to a dead end, so there is zero traffic noise; yet it is only a one (1) minute walk to Shota Rustaveli Av. supermarkets and shops. The many bars, restaurants and nightlife on the Galaktion Tabzide street less than a three (3) minute walk, and it is a twelve (12) minute scenic walk to the heart of downtown Cochlis Fountain circle, the Green Market, and Art Galleries. A Bolt will charge you 3-4 GEL on average, to downtown. There are only two (2) ensuite rooms to let at present, so there is not much noise from other guests. The family live behind the property, in a detached house with their two friendly and adorable labradors, and they are very responsive to your needs, in a wonderfully hospitable manner. As for value for money, this was the best studio apartment I ever stayed in, and is definitely my FIRST CHOICE when I return to Kutaisi.

The chalet is very spacious and clean, the bathroom is quite big too. The property has a nice garden with hammocks and the chalet itself has outdoor seating too - perfect for a morning coffee. There was an adorable kitten outside which is a welcome bonus! The location is great too - in a quiet neighborhood but very close to the center.
