They are true Colombian intellectuals, with lots of knowledge to share about everything from contemporary Colombian politics to culture, wildlife and coffee (we conversed in Spanish). Although I only stayed two nights, by the time I left I had truly made new friends--certainly the next time I am in the Bogotá area I will be making an effort to go and stay with them again.
