Absolutely delightful place to stay. Comfortable and unique with a ton of charm. Also well-positioned in town where it's easy to walk to where you want to go. Would highly recommend to stay here! Also the host was super communicative with us - let us know about water pressure issues in town and even notified us about a special event in town that was a highlight of our stay.

Situated in a quiet street facing pasture fields and mountains to the west. Walking distance to the major attractions and restaurants within Barrydale. Our Host, Jamie even organised a booking for dinner on our arrival at the Karoo Arts Hotel- 10 minute walk from Sunset cottage. Very secure with a beautiful garden and secure private parking. Everything you could want is available for our short stay here. It’s winter so those electric blankets were perfect. Heating available in the bathroom too and it was a huge bathroom with the biggest walk-in shower. Plenty of hot water and provisions in the kitchen included a coffee pod machine, tea, coffee, chocolates, sugar, spices etc. Jamie even gave us some sheep’s milk and yogurt to try. Highly recommend trying it! It’s so healthy !! I must comment on the garden! It really is beautiful and full of bird life even in winter.

We stayed over for a night and we relaxed, enjoyed the beauty of the environment. I took lovely pictures of the Milky Way and had a lovely ‘braai’ We had good communication with the host and she kept us informed and respect our privacy.

The Cottage is beautiful and secure and hidden away from the view of others, so very private. It has lovely views of the mountain and a beautiful big “stoep” area to sit and enjoy a nice coffee and rusk. The inside is spacious and comfortable and has everything one needs for a lovely stay. Really enjoyed our time here!
