We wanted to spend a weekend in a quiet place surrounded by nature, and Somova Gora chalet was an excellent choice. The chalet is very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen, six beds and a sofa, and two wood-burning stoves that keep the place wonderfully warm. We really enjoyed in the house and hopefully will come back.

Fantastic location with amazing views. The house was a rustic building with wooden beams and lovely to be in, which we appreciated when it rained all day. Jacuzzi was great, outdoor space with fire pit and barbecue. Situated in a very quiet village so was good to let kids play freely in the surrounding area. Beautiful sky at night. Hosts very friendly and gave us fresh grapes and wine throughout the visit with bread, cheese and meat on arrival.

Warm and welcoming, with our travel background and backpacking experience this accommodation is superb. Truly authentic house- not lovingly restored, but lovingly maintained-at least, that’s the feeling of it. The comfort we found was not the AC unit or TV with Netflix, but the honest old arcitecture and that extra feeling that the house gave us. Just to be able to lean on its wall while sitting on the stairs, gave me that”everything will be ok” feeling. Ljuba and Valentin are wonderful hosts! And the extra bonus feature? Two super cute, cuddly young cats and a friendly dog that likes to be petted but will not ask for it. Oh! And surrounding nature! That’s a story in its self! We’ll be definitely be back!

The place is awesome. Great views, surrounded by nature. We got a place with a huge bed, a real nice place with everything we needed. The hosts were amazing too, we felt like home for real. I hope they felt as good as we did with us because we really liked them.

We were a family of five. The house is spacious and very comfortable, it can easily fit 2-3 families. It overlooks charming square on the front, and on the back there is a big yard and a river. On the square there is a post office and a market. Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. We especially liked the library on the first floor. The owner is very kind and communication was easy and quick. He prepared a booklet with all the info of what to do and where to eat in the area. All in all our stay was very pleasant and I would highly recommend Domačija pri Ivankovih (I would only suggest to stay for at least a week :) )
