Beautuful house. There was thick fog when we arrived at 3pm and very cold. We needed to start the fire to warm house but only 1 Firelighter and no small sticks . Our host Joao brought us some wood at 7.15pm after he finished work. Chimney very smokey and fire soon went out. The next day we went looking for eucalyptus leaves and small kindling wood and got a good fire going by 5pm when the fog came down again. Kitchen facilities were good and 2 bathrooms nice with attractive furniture inside and on the outside terrace.

The house had everything we needed and more for our stay. The hosts could not have been more helpful, the decor is beautiful and it was a real home away from home in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed making use of the multiple outdoor spaces and bbq and will be recommending it to friends and family.

The villa was perfect with fantastic facilities. Spotlessly clean, plenty of space for our family, great pool with lovely garden area and all bedrooms have an en-suite. No problem getting into Alvor by taxi which took about 10 minutes and only cost around 5 euros. Isabel was very helpful and always on hand if we needed anything.

Casa Dolce is centrally located in the old town. It's an old, very narrow house that has been sensitively and skillfully renovated. The hostess, Sally, has thought of everything a guest could need. From umbrellas to mosquito repellent, everything is there. The well-equipped kitchen includes not only plenty of spices but also a well-stocked refrigerator. The highlight is the beautiful roof terrace with its many plants. Sally is always available via WhatsApp and is very friendly and helpful.
