Cottages in Imlil

A beautiful stone lodge set in a very authentic, incredibly quiet, and peaceful Berber village in the High Atlas mountains. You're a ten minute drive from Armoud, but it's almost impossible to comprehend how such a short distance could yield such positive differences; there is no tourist carnival here nor pushy touts here as in Armoud or Imlil. It's like you're in a different world. This is a rustic mountain retreat, with traditional architecture and sweeping mountains views often frequented by goats; its full of sunlight and beautiful wood. It has a super homey feel, and is spotlessly clean, with incredibly comfortable beds. It's entirely heated by fireplaces making it that much more romantic, lovely and peaceful. It is chilly in winter, but they have plenty of blankets to help keep you warm, and even though I like it hot all the time, I wouldn't wish for central air. This place feels trapped in time and is a true gem. This is where you come to get away from it all and connect with nature, but everything you need is here, including wonderful homemade yogurt and bread for breakfast, and wonderful tea. Malika and the other staff are atttentive without being intrusive, helpful, funny, lovely, accomodating, and genuinely warm, and made my stay that much more genuine and lovely, even teaching me a few Berber words. Here, you can wander out the door into the mountains and meet local shepherds who will invite you to join them for tea on the mountainside with no agenda. The warmth and culture of the Berber people is remarkable. A nice gesture is to bring snacks like candies or treats hard to come by in these mountains and especially tylenol and/or ibuprofen to share with the people who extend you their hospitality. I was often asked for medicine, never money. Even though they seem close to services, many only have mules as transport, and perhaps cannot afford these things. I would definitely return.

Perfect location and excellent dinner

best accommodation in Imlil and surrounding areas. one of my favorite stays so far during my 10 days in Marrakech! Mohammed the host was very welcoming. I got upgraded to a private room as there was only guys in the dorm. breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful! food prices might be a bit higher than marakech but keep in mind the food has to be carried up the mountain. and it was some of the biggest portions I’ve seen! great after a day of hiking. bed was super comfy. great hot shower. cosy fireplace in the common area. great vibes. and although the room was a bit cold, but afterwards it is January in the mountains, I had loads of blankets and a gray night sleep. the village is about 30mins walk from the shared taxi stand in Imlil but I think much better to stay here than in Imlil as it’s more peaceful and no traffic around!

The architecture, the pool, the view .. everything is beautiful 😍

Thank you so much, everything was amazing, i wish i could give more than 10 Location & Nature: The setting was stunning, surrounded by mountains and offering 360-degree views. The natural beauty, including the amazing sunset, was a highlight. Accommodation: The place was very clean and well-maintained. The fireplace added a cozy touch, perfect for relaxing. Activities: We loved interacting with the goat, which must have been a delightful experience for my son. Hosts: The hosts were very helpful and provided excellent information, making our stay even more enjoyable. Food: The food was amazing, with flavors that were a mix of international quality, adding to the overall experience. Overall, it's a perfect getaway with beautiful nature, great hospitality, and delicious food. 🌄🐐🍽️

I really appreciated the warm welcome from the staff, especially Mohamed the manager and Mohamed from the restaurant, who were both very attentive and kind. The suites were cosy and very comfortable, and the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing. The beautiful setting, with plenty of fruit trees, made the stay feel unique and refreshing.

Really close to the center. Recently renovated so everything works well. Kind and generous hosts.
