Ciao! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Makini Bush Camp and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The camp's location in the midst of the Yala wilderness was absolutely breathtaking. As an traveler who loves nature and adventure, Makini was perfect for me. The tented chalets were very comfortable and the private plunge pool was just what I needed to relax after a long day of exploring. The food was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan dishes served at the camp. But what we loved most about Makini was the experiences they offered. The guided safaris were amazing, and I was lucky enough to see some rare bird species, as well as elephants and leopards in their natural habitat. The staff at Makini were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to ensure that we had a memorable and enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend Makini Bush Camp to anyone looking for a unique and authentic nature experience. Grazie mille, Makini, for an amazing adventure!

Very friendly stuff. Nice food. Good clean rooms with nice but pool. Free bikes and tuk tuk for guests. Nice place!

The facility is of a very high standard. Cleanliness top! Taking care of customer satisfaction is the main message for all staff. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty. The pool was very clean and loved by the children. Additionally, there are no crowds of guests, so you can relax after a very early safari. The safari organized by Wild Lotus (Nelson guide) was also of a high standard. Thanks to fast track, we were the first car to enter Yala Park and after 10 minutes we saw a leopard in a tree watching a herd of buffaloes. The other cars behind were not so lucky. We highly recommend this hotel

One of the best properties we stayed at during our trip to Sri Lanka. The value for money is amazing, and the host family were incredible. Anu and his family took great care of us and made sure we were comfortable. Their kid was very cute and so friendly with our group that it made our stay even better. The rooms were nice and had A/C and hot water (not always a given in Sri Lanka), it wasn’t amazing but it was comfortable and exactly what we needed and was great value. Anu organised a safari for us where we luckily saw a leopard and multiple bears, which are not always common! I would highly recommend this place for those wanting to come to a Yala Safari- the hospitality was the best we experienced in the country, and the rooms were comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

We had an amazing stay at Amazon Cabanas. The hosts were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. We organised a safari with the owner Gayan as our guide, he was so passionate and excited about the animals and was extremely experienced. Such a peaceful and well maintained bungalow too, we wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved our stay and highly recommend it! The place is brand new and beautifully decorated. The pool is a delight and the location is in the middle of nature, which makes it perfect for relaxing! The family who own the place are amazing and super attentive. We were treated very well! The food is delicious! It was one of the best dinners we've ever had at Sri Lanka.

Outstanding facilities, an incredibly well maintained pool , spotless rooms and toilets . We stayed here for 2 days they have been cleaning them literally every single time we left the house. There is literally nothing else we could have ask for this place heaven in earth. But that’s just the house itself what have make this trip unforgettable , the Staff Randi our main host is an amazing man who have been taking care of us from minute one . The rest of the staff are always looking to make your trip as easy as possible from giving you welcoming drinks to have you hop in this tuk-tuk to show you his beloved city . If you are in Yala this place is a must.
