First I don’t normally book places that don’t have many reviews but I gave this one a shot as it was new and I’m very happy I booked it! Had such a lovely stay at Sanjee Villa, the owners are a beautiful local family that are extremely helpful and friendly! Offering us coconuts and answering any questions we had! The house is clean and nicely furnished and has a beautiful garden to sit in. There is kitchen and washing machine for use, location is a short walk into town and beach and also to bus and train station. Great value for money! Would highly recommend and would stay again! Thank you for having us in your beautiful home!

This property has been our best stay in Sri Lanka so far! The house is newly built with two bedrooms - one with AC, the other with fans and a well equiped kitchen. The best feature of the house is that you can open up all doors and get a great breeze through the house. We spent a lot of time sitting outside on the porch enjoying the large outdoor garden. The house is very private and quiet, yet not far from the beach and supermarkets nearby. We felt so welcomed by the owner - he looked after us very well and helped to organise bikes and gave recommendations for spots nearby.

Mount Rest was quiet and peaceful and really lovely to have our own space. The Villa was cool in temperature at night time so we slept so well in the extra big bed. It is a short walk to a lovely beach and the lagoon, and a short tuktuk ride to Hikkaduwa for great snorkelling, cafes, restaurants and nightlife. For us it was lovely to be away from the crowds here at Mount Rest and immersed in Sri Lankan culture. Shanika and her family were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. They were so kind and generous. They arranged for us to go on a tour of their family’s Cinnamon Garden and see how it was made. The Villa was very clean and comfortable and we loved our time here. Would highly recommend if you like to be off the beaten track, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Completely new house with 4 bedrooms, 4 big bathrooms, kitchen, living room and 10x4 meter swimming pool. Every room is air-conditioned, the host is a great young man who helped us so many times with Tuk-tuk's, wine glasses, new towels, and cleaning the house and pool. The villa is far from traffic in a completely quiet neighbourhood. The host showed his kindness and willingness to help when our van had a flat tire just a few hours from our flight home. He found a new van in 5 minutes which took us to the airport (it was 4AM in the morning).

This lovely vacation villa is run by the lovely young couple - Bashini and Ishan. I stayed here my last few days in Sri Lanka and it was fantastic. They are so generous and helpful and they love to share their Sri Lanka experiences with guests. They taught me how to make the traditional Sri Lankan food Kotthu and took me to feed fish and turtles the next morning. The villa is hidden a bit away from the noisy street and it's perfect - you get to see some nature and you're still at a walking distance from the beach. It has whatever you need, a little kitchen and great facilities with a very pretty garden to look at. I was so happy I found this place at the end of my stay and I really enjoyed my time with them! Would definitely recommend. They also offer trips on bikes with them which in general is a great way to get around and see Sri Lanka. 🩷🌞 I was so sad to leave and I am 100% coming back. 😍

The house was well furnished, to the smallest detail, and there qas a good internet router all for the guest. The couple managing it was very welcoming, offering tea, local snacks and needed info. Thanks!
