Gorgeous place, really big and beautifully designed. Despite being next door to the train station it was much quieter than expected. It was a bit further down the street than the Google map location, on the corner of the block but it was a perfect. Highly recommended with super helpful owners.

We had a great stay at Yoshihiko-sans place. Check in was in person, house rules were easy to follow and the surroundings are beautifully peaceful. It can get cold over night, but you have heaters everywhere and even the futons are heated (which was soooo nice)! If you are very tall, you will have to be careful, since the ceiling isn't too high. Parking is easy accessable on the premises. Bus connection is close to the accommodation. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to everyone who wants to experience rural Japan. Breakfast was also very tasty!!

The villa was spacious, clean, comfortable, and luxurious. We were blown away by the interior aesthetics which exceeded the images shown on the listing. Amenities were generous and excellent facilities were provided. Cups, plates, beverage classes (from pretty Japanese tea cups to glass-cut sake cups were provided). Definitely able to accommodate a group of 5-6 comfortably. Bed was really comfy, clean, and the whole apartment smelled so good.

The owner had prepared bedrooms specifically for our needs (we were 2 families travelling together), there were 3 bedrooms -not one as advertised!!!! The house was beautiful & felt like a family home in that it had everything we needed with dishes, cooking utensils etc & including little things like plastic ziplock bags for any meal preparation.

Bed was heavenly! Complimentary drinks and snacks were very generous, thoughtful and made us feel very welcomed :) Also appreciated the quick responses from Jackson and Nate to our queries. Loved the smart and cozy interior design and the koi that greeted our morning daily.

The property itself consist of different villas, so i assume for different villas u get a different look, but the iori kanazawa we stayed at was very cool nontheless with an indoor and outdoor hot tub and a well equipped kitchen. The thing that stands out about iori is the staff. I especially have to commend Jackson, a tall handsome american who helped my family and i every step of the way during our trip. He made our stay much more enjoyable and easy.

It is a historical building in the preserved area. The town house was preserved very well with modern facilities inside which showed the host has put a lot of efforts in it. The open bath at a cozy garden was definitely a merit. My child loves it very much.

Superb little house. Clean, comfortable, well located, and stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks. We had everything we needed- including a gorgeous red hot tub/bath! The team had kindly booked an evening meal at a local restaurant (Sen Teppan) which was delicious. The futon mattresses were really comfortable and we slept well. Hida is an interesting town with lots to see. We really liked our visit and wished we had stayed an additional night.

The authenticity of the house was exactly what we were looking for. We didnt mind the downsides of the house. The heaters are powerful and the kotatsu was super cozy. The house has a ton of appliances and is very spacious. We were sad to leave after 1 night, but the place was booked for the takayama festival weekend.
