Incredible traditional house, it was like a dream, a jump in time. A bit cold in winter but the (big) room was warm, extra soft blanket, comfortable futon. Just like in the pictures.

The house is great and full of history, nice location 5 minutes from the station and within walking distance of the highlights of Kanazawa. Hitty was an amazing host, he left us plenty of helpful information on the city and recommendations for food and things to see. Can't recommend a stay here enough, the house was really clean and well kept.

It was a good location, the owners were very friendly. The property is big with two floors, multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, living room space - it was well decorated, the bathroom was nice - pretty much perfect for our stay and one of the very best places we stayed on our 3 week trip moving around Japan.
