We liked everything, the location, the comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Parking next to the house, walks from the house. Close enough to the city, but far enough away to not notice.

The property was exceptionally clean: not a speck of dust or dirt. The bed and furniture were comfy and the bathroom spacious. The location was secluded yet handy for Stonehaven and the area in general. Although most of the other houses, seemingly, were occupied we hardly heard anyone.

Excellent location for exploring the area, by car or foot (right next to the coastline). Lovely room. Exceptional breakfast :) Robert was an excellent host, easy to talk to, full of ideas for visits: he also gave up his time to show us around Hallgreen Castle. The castle is worth the visit just for itself, spanning centuries of history, eloquently presented by Robert whose enthusiasm for the building is infectious. Thank you for a wonderful short break :)

The Smokehouse is a literal home away from home. Warm, inviting, everything says relax. The big downy sofa is wonderful, as is the deck looking out to the ocean just metres away. The pedestal fan was most welcome.

Every thing it ticked all the boxes and it was fabulous being able to soak in the jacuzzi bath after a days walking and sit in front of the fire. The walks round the estate were fab and so many close by we were spoilt for choice😃

Amazing property! We did a family gateway trip and everyone loved it. Kitchen is well equipped and the house in general is very well maintained and has everything you will need. The location is great as well and great takeaways nearby!
