Lovely little place with high-quality furnishings. Just a short walk from the middle of Ballater but feels quiet and peaceful. The lounge/dining room catches the late afternoon sun and has a view up to the oak woods of Craigendarroch hill. It's quite a small place (the reasonable price reflects this - it's in a 'premium' part of the Highlands) but the quality of the armchair, sofa and dining chairs would put many a grand country hotel to shame and made for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Dating back to 1510, Dalmunzie Castle Hotel lies in the south of the Cairngorms National Park.

Great location in Braemar, enclosed garden, dog friendly for responsible owners, kitchen was well supplied with everything you need for cooking Christmas dinner for a large group! Very cosy and warm, loved the wood stove and large kitchen diner. Lovely and quiet , next door to some great pubs and fife arms, forest walking circuits 2 mins away
