Eugene was such a great host. He spent the evening on the patio with us after fixing us his famous Kudu burgers. The guest room we stayed in was spacious and very cool despite the temps already exceeding 30 degrees. The bed was comfy and we slept really well. Breakfast was again done by Eugene and was excellent. If you come to the Klein Karoo do yourself a favour and stay here even if it’s a bit remote.

We were just looking for shelter from the rain for two nights and lucked out with Magoos on 62. Michelle was welcoming, and so accommodating. The rooms were lovely and spacious. We were visiting the area to climb Touwerkop. Perfect location 10mins from start of route. Hospitality and facilities were outstanding.

A perfect stopover en route to Cape Town via route 62. The cottage is a quaint historic building with thick walls and was sparkling clean. We had everything we needed for our stay and especially enjoyed the stoep looking onto the garden with a great view of the mountains. Perfect waterwise garden with olive trees and a good enclosed space for our two little dogs to stretch their legs. Our host Jeanette was most helpful too. We can definitely recommend this lovely cottage!

Our host, André Jnr, paid a lot of personal attention to detail. Our room was warmed for our arrival and we were offered coffee to warm us up further on a freezing cold day. After we walked to a local restaurant and it started to rain, André came to check on us and see whether we needed a lift back. And breakfast was delicious.
