The hotel is a small ‘boutique style’ overlooking the marina. The view from the upstairs room was perfect for colourful sunrise and especially sunsets. The staff are so friendly and informative. Breakfast is not included but the restaurant has a lovely outside terrace. Food is excellent. We had Xmas Day lunch. Very nice. And plenty of it. The youngsters who work in the restaurant are very pleasant and work hard!

A beautiful little fisherman's haven,tourist attraction,near all amenities and for bigger shopping,the Westcoast mall. Best fish n chips ever,freshly baked at Laaiplek harbor. And value for money. Another attraction is the salt pans, Berg River for the famous Duzi Cano marathon,and bokkom fisheries.

Velddrif is so central and everything is nearby.

Velddrif is so central and everything is nearby. There is a fantastic SuperSpar nearby which is very well stocked. We found an incredible restaurant right on the beachfront called Zeezicht. The food was exceptional and the staff friendly and attentive. I believe the owner is the chef as well. Went back three times. There is also a delightful ice cream shop at the harbour, Lighthouse Deli - well worth a visit. The ice-creams were thick and creamy and very reasonably priced.

Best towns in the middle of the west coast.

Best towns in the middle of the west coast. We enjoyed the Visvlekhuis, day out on the sea fishing, Bokkomlaan etc. We did day trips to Langebaan, West coast national park, Jacobsbaai, Dwarskersbos and Elandsbaai.

An easy journey from Cape Town.

An easy journey from Cape Town. We love the location and the surrounds of Lermitage Quagga Lodge: right by the beautiful Berg River with rustling reeds, amazing sunsets, lots of birds and of the course the wonderful quagga and other wildlife. The accommodation was excellent. We were 5 adults and 5 kids (aged 14-5) who could roam freely and safely around the chalets. A wonderful few days.

We had amazing hikes along the beach walking from St Jacobs...

We had amazing hikes along the beach walking from St Jacobs Bay in the direction of Paternoster. Had lunch at Russels on the Port and Dinner at De See Kat in Paternoster. Both were really nice, Paternoster's restaurant more upmarket.

Velddrif is a quirky town with a lot of character and magnificent bird life. If you are a nature lover you will adore Velddrif. We stayed just past Velddrif in Dwarskersbos which, although its a little further out of town, had the most beautiful beach with millions of little shells. Special!

We only had an overnight stay at the property. The location was superb, with a magnificent view of the river and lagoon at Velddrif. The indoor braai was a winner as it was rainy during our stay. Safe and secure parking was provided. The unit is very nice and spacious. The property met all our requirements.
