A most beautiful property overlooking the Indian Ocean. Fabulous room decorated with style and every luxury. We enjoyed terrific food and gorgeous wines from a magnificent cellar. Massage and then golf on near-by championship course as good as any we've ever played on in South Africa. But what impressed so much were the staff led by the lovely Adelle. A terrific team.

During the day, we enjoyed hearing the waves at the beach and lots of birds. At night, the frogs were present as well. We really enjoyed being surrounded by nature. We stayed at the Fisheagle Cottage. It’s a spacious house with two bedrooms, a private pool, and a nice outdoor area featuring a braai and fire basket. The cottage overlooks the 2 ponds, where the birds and frogs are. Just a five-minute walk brought us to a ‘private’ beach, where we spent two hours without seeing any people.

Property was easy to find. The Host Adelle and her husband where very accommodating. Adelle even ordered a Birthday Cake for my Son and fetched the Cake for me. She is such a cool host. They even pointed out places to eat out at, and offered to Babysit my kids. I was very happy with the house and all of the equipment that was accessible for our stay. Kitchenette was Wow.... Thank you Adelle and Brian you guys where just awesome. My kids enjoyed the swing in the backyard as well. Amazing place. Thanks Guys...

There aren’t many places like Nakai. From the moment you step through the door, it just feels different—in the best way. The house itself is full of character, with art and artefacts from all over the world that give it a really unique vibe. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into how the space is laid out. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a place you want to be. What really struck me is how comfortable and relaxed everything feels. It’s the kind of place where you can instantly unwind, like you’ve stepped into a home rather than a hotel. The rooms are spacious and super comfortable. Grant, Karen and the rest of the staff, are a big part of what makes Nakai so special. They’re incredibly warm and truly want you to have a great time. You really feel taken care of. Breakfasts are a highlight—healthy, delicious, and just the right way to start the day. You can spend hours just soaking in the scenery and the unmatched view of the ocean from the deck. There’s also a private beach right down from the house, part of a conservancy, which feels like a bonus. It’s quiet, peaceful, and a perfect place to unwind. Overall, Nakai just has this special, laid-back charm that’s hard to put into words.

Location is good.

Location is good. Stairs are poorly designed and difficult to navigate. Breakfasts were good. One attempted at dinner which was poor. Pillows on beds need replacing. Had to ask manager twice to fix loose toilet (not seat) and this was not done in four days. Told what an excellent chef they had to find it not to be true. Not one comfortable seat in the last room we stayed. There is maintenance to be done on outside woodwork. Overpriced for what we received.
