Nice cottage and great views. Peaceful and quiet place. Room very clean and staff very friendly. Hostess was very helpful with restaurant recomendations and hikes, she even let us feed the horses one day. Beautiful!

Lovely cottage on a in the trees. Big space, comfortable bed an nice surroundings. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. It is perfectly situated close to the N2 but far from the noise. Very safe place. And as a bonus I had the visit from the Knysna Turaco

Our stay at Lily Pond Country Lodge was an exceptional experience and undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to South Africa. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the peaceful setting and the tasteful and elegant decor of the lodge. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the perfect combination of the tranquility of the surrounding nature and the high-end comfort offered by the lodge. Waking up to the sound of birds and falling asleep under a starry sky while enjoying discreet luxury was a real delight. We would like to extend our special thanks to Caroll and Bronwan for their availability and attentive listening. Thanks to their valuable advice, we were able to explore the region in a unique and authentic way. Their in-depth knowledge of the area and their sense of hospitality greatly contributed to the quality of our stay. Breakfasts were a treat every morning, with a variety of fresh and delicious choices. As for the dinners, they were simply sublime, a big thank you to Randall for his culinary talents. Each meal was an experience in itself, combining local flavors and creative touches. We also enjoyed the moments spent with the servers, whose humor and friendliness added a light and joyful note to our evenings. In summary, Lily Pond Country Lodge is a true gem, offering both a relaxing and luxurious experience. Whether it was comfort, ambiance, or gastronomy, everything was perfect. We highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in South Africa.

Absolutely lovely little cottage that has everything you could wish for. Location is wonderful if you need access to the Crags area and love the peace and quiet. The hosts are lovely, warm, and welcoming people. The bed is easily the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again on my next stay.

A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants.

A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants. The Grootrivier and (Western Cape part of) the Bloukrans River passes are exceptional, as is Nature's Valley. The Birds of Eden is THE world leading bird conservancy -- the biggest anywhere with free flying birds in a magnificent forest with a beautiful kloof, waterfall ,,, The nearby Monkeyland and Jukani conservancies are also probably the best in Africa. Thyme & Again restaurant is also a favourite.

This is definitely not a family holiday spot!

This is definitely not a family holiday spot! It could, at best, be a backpackers lodge. The water in the bathrooms was brownish, and although there were assurances that it was healthy, we were sceptical. The rooms were tiny and barely furnished. The kitchen is communal and almost 100 meters away from the rooms - very inconvenient for those rainy days! What about the toilet and bathroom outside the rooms! We had surely booked the wrong place, and stayed only for one night out of four.

Its a wonderful place to stay, especially since it is 18kms from Plettenberg Bay, so its more serene than Plett over the height of summer. There is a lot to do in the vicinity. We loved our visits to the elephant sanctuary (an absolute must-do), the wolf sanctuary, Birds of Eden, Tenikwa (wildlife rehabilitation), Jukani (wildlife sanctuary, especially for Big Cats) and Monkeyland. There's a super water park (Adventureland) about 19kms away, with fabulous waterslides. We made the mistake of not booking restaurants for dinner in advance. Over late December / early January most places were fully booked, which really limited our options and we spent a lot of time calling around, which we could have avoided. I would scout the restaurants and book well in advance next time.

The Crags is close to South Africa's most famous bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge and also to the suspension bridges in Tsitsikamma National Park. These are places we've been to. In addition, it boasts lush natural beauty.

This was my second time staying at Four Fields Farm and I’ll be back to visit! I love the accommodation- the tranquility and the gorgeous gardens with abundant birdlife are just too beautiful. Ilze is wonderful and so passionate about the farm and its surroundings. I love its proximity to the farm stall and of course the short distance to Natures Valley beach! My favourite beach.

The location is well located for Nature's Valley and the beautiful beach just down the road from the Lily Pond (short drive) and all the activities that are available in the area of the Crags. The provided breakfast is excellent, while the evening cuisine is extremely good. The staff are all lovely and extremely helpful. We will return.

We stayed at the villa for just two nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The staff were friendly, the views stunning, and the kitchen well-equipped. We especially enjoyed the comfortable lounge with its fireplace. Shopping is convenient at the nearby Crags Superette, which also has a bakery offering delicious pies.
