Beautiful town but unfortunately we were only there for one night. If you want to see the Penguins then this is the spot. Lovely harbour and plenty of restaurants as well. Lovely beach and safe area

We love Simonstown. It is so quaint and picturesque. We love the historical buildings and the friendliness of the people. It is a wonderful tourist destination as Cape Point is nearby as well as Boulders Beach with the famous penquins. Stunning views over the bay with the pretty yachts to view.

Simon's Town is the perfect place to go to, to not be in the city, to relax and to unwind. Boulder Beach was an exciting experience, and we truly enjoyed it. We ate at Fran's Place on the Waterfront, and had the most delicious Seafood Platter. The food at Willets Hotel is just as amazing! In Sea Point, Cape Town itself, it feels unsafe to sit on the Beach for too long, but in Simon's Town we stayed on Long Beach until sunset. It was a calming few days. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely locals and felt very safe here. Fantastic spot for shopping and earthing and drinking. Drive to Cape Point and surrounding coast is amazing. A little noisy late evening and early morning due to comings and goings with deliveries etc.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to entertain younger kids without the big commercial rush of the bigger more popular areas in Cape Town, I recommend Simons Town. So much to do with younger kids who enjoy the outdoors without the rush of a lot of people around you.

Hosts were amazing! Belinda become our mum away from home - always looking after us in the form of freshly baked cookies, occasional chocolate drop off's and constant updates about everything going on in the area.. This Greek Mommy has all the best restaurant spots (obviously) so do not hesitate to ask her opinion on things - You can tell she loves and cares for her guests and will go out of her way to ensure they have a memorable stay. :) Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Simons Town - You won't be disappointed.

The hosts, Lizette and Tom are the most welcoming and lovely people. There were flowers and chocolate waiting for me in the room, which was well-equipped with a kettle, microwave oven etc. The setting is very pretty and location ideal = penguins are within walking distance! I'm very glad I decided to choose this place as a starting point of my Southern African exploration. I think it was much better to come here instead of going directly to Cape Town's hustle and bustle.

The staff at Tintswalo Boulders were very attentive and we appreciated the explanations given. My husband said the omelet for breakfast was the best he ever had. I particularly liked that it feels like a (guest) house that feels cozy and intimate. You can't ask for a better location at Boulders with stunning views of False Bay. A great feature is the ability to access the boardwalks for a late afternoon/or early morning walk to see the penguins.

Million dollar view from a huge balcony, comfortable bedrooms each with an ensuite, large lounge room and a full kitchenette. The host was amazing, gave us lots of useful info and recommendations. We left a shirt behind when checked out, and the host rang us straight away and arranged to have the shirt dropped off to us while we were still in the neighbourhood. Can’t fault this place, 10/10 and one of the best stays in South Africa!

Watercolours Studio was one of my best stays ever on the Peninsula. Starting with the best host, Sharon makes you feel at home immediately. The location s perfect with incredible views, all facilities, decor and extra touches makes it 5 star in my books. This would be my first choice of accommodation in this area in the future.
