My sister (21 years old) and I (25 years old) spent four days with Rob and Marianne, and we can only say it was absolutely fantastic. Rob and Marianne are incredibly kind people, and the house is just beautiful. If I can offer one tip, make sure to have breakfast prepared by Rob each morning—it’s delicious! It kept us satisfied until well after lunchtime. We’d give this place 11 stars out of 10! We had plenty of time to do our own thing, but Rob and Marianne also provided wonderful suggestions for things to do nearby. The house is very secure, and we felt safe and at home the entire time. On our last day, Rob took us to a game reserve called Sebuya, which was truly amazing. We had a great meal at some place outside the park, and it was much more enjoyable than the typical safari tour in a jeep. We saw about as much as those on the official safari tour, but we had Rob as our guide, which allowed us to explore the park at a more relaxed pace. While you can never be certain what wildlife you’ll see on a safari, Rob had an incredible sense of where the animals might be, and he even brought binoculars for us to use. It was so thoughtful of him and Marianne to lend us those. The other guests staying at the guesthouse were just as open and friendly as Rob and Marianne, making it an even more fantastic experience. We’re truly sad that we couldn’t stay longer, as our journey had to continue. All in all, this is an amazing place, and we would definitely come back one day!

Beautiful coastal town with lots to do.

Beautiful coastal town with lots to do. We attended a beer festival in Wharf street. Guido's at the beachfront is a must for a simple but cheap meal with friendly service. The chicken liver starter is absolulelty to die for and enough as main meal.

We found Port Alfred clean and the people very friendly.

We found Port Alfred clean and the people very friendly. The down side is out of season we could not even book a river boat ride. Itwas told told to us there must be a min of 10 people. Could they perhaps use smaller boats for say 2-4 people? The tar roads are full of potholes in the streets and this needs aerious attention. The new mall was great and we had some fantastic cooked meals at Judys Kitchen.

It was my first time visiting the Eastern Cape, must say I'm impress with the clean ocean and beaches available. I enjoyed Heritage Mall. It does cater for everyone 's needs. The restaurant Guido's makes the best pizza's, burgers and fish and chips in town. It is very easy to get around Port Alfred and surrounding areas. We got used to the area very quickly. The Kowie River really completes the town with the boats going out daily. The national roads are brillantly maintained therefore it is a breeze driving on it. However the local roads need lots of TLC. We will most definitely come back next year. Well done Port Alfred!!!!

Comfortable and affordable acommodation can be found. Kelly's Beach is always very popular. It has been awarded Blue Flag Eco-certification. Boat rides are available, and are a lot of fun. Guided Birdwatching trails around PA are popular. Judy's Kitchen in the Rosehill Mall, as well as, The Highlander, serve delicious meals.

Angela is such a lovely host, mam Ange was also very nice!! The place is absolutely stunning, beautiful views clean and excellent facilities (the units have everything that one needs in a self catering accommodation). Would have loved to stay here for our entire vacation in Port Alfred, but the other dates were fully booked.

Great value for money. The plunge pool must be gorgeous in summer. Good room layout. Decent breakfast. Sitting outside by the river. The massage place next door is excellent. All good restaurants in Port Alfred are in walking distance.
