Both host, Morne and Simone are extremely friendly. They make you feel at home the minute you get out of the car. The rooms are spacious, clean, the bathroom perfect. The pool to dip in after a long day in the Kruger is perfect. The garden and property in general are very well kept... And the best: the food! Personalised. Simone is an amazing cook. Both breakfast and dinner are like in a star restaurant. Just WOW

Staff made us feel welcome from arrival to us leaving. The pool and bar area was very comfortable and fitting for the African experience! The meals were delicious and plentiful! The mosquito nets over the beds were very welcomed! Having the wild life on the door step was lovely to see. Assistance from Jondre and his team to get our car out of the mud after the welcomed rains was greatly appreciated! I Would definitely recommend a stay at Timbavati!

How to express the highest satisfaction when 10 is not enough? Fantastic breakfast! Perfect dinner! Helpful staff! The greatest satisfaction with the attitude of the waiter/barman TABOU. We had a great time in the swimming pool. Tabou came often to ask us for our needs. We were really excited! We felt safe. We felt taken care about us. The room was clean, tidy, modern equipment. The furniture felt like new. The environment and facilities would not be enough for full satisfaction. The excitement was due to the connection with the staff who took care of everything perfectly.

Great location In a private nature reserve so we saw lots of animals just driving to the lodge! Such as buffalo, wild pigs etc Fantastic host and staff- thanks Annie! The lodge itself is fantastic, lots of amenities, a nice bar, common area Amazing pool with a umbrella and comfortable loungers. The room itself was modern, had AC (very important in this hear!) The outdoor shower is truly magical. And of course the food was really delicious You cannot go wrong picking this place for a luxurious bush safari experience.

There is so much to tell! From the minute Sly fetched us from the airport our amazing South African holiday started, we were blessed with so many animals and a lovely tour by Sly to the facility. We received a warm welcome and our rooms (villa) awaited our arrival, at first we were worried that we booked a place with no AC but the fans are more than enough. I was even "cold" the one night. Katie, Phumzile and Jefferey made each day memorable. We booked a trip to the Panorama Route with Sly and it was just perfect, great company, chats along the way, shopping, sightseeing the works. They also booked our Kruger trip - so memorable! Phelwana actually have enough animals on site that you can enjoy via their bush walks at 7am and or their afternoon drives at 5pm, it was baby season so we saw so many little ones from baby zebra, giraffe, nyala and water buffalo. The food was really great as well. I don't think there was anything missing. The wifi can be a bit iffy but you are in the bush it is to be expected. We had some traffic issues from the local giraffe :P so cute but a quick call to the reception and someone would fetch us safely. If I had to pick one item it would to request more vegetarian opinions like tofu but honestly we ate well! We loved our stay and everyone there made it so special, they even decorated our breakfast table and arranged a cake for my birthday!
