Lovely well laid out and well equipped property. Really relaxing feel about the whole place. Views at the end of the driveway overlooking the Crocodile river into the KNP. Lovely attentive staff and interaction with Michelle the owner always good and on hand. Very highly recommended to all that love the true African way of life. Also on the plus side the property is only 15 mins from Crocodile Bridge the entrance to the Kruger Park.

Everything was great. We arrived on a very hot afternoon to be greeted by Rene (the manager / owner) and some iced tea. Location is wonderful with very comfortable chalet type accomodation. (This is not 5* hotel territory but as long as your expectation is set for being in the African Bush, it is 5*.) Rene made some great suggestions for places to eat locally, and we also ate breakfast and supper "in" which we very much enjoyed. Lovely to see wildlife (kudu, impala, warthog, zebra, giraffe, etc) walking past your bedroom window. Very easy access to the Kruger. We enjoyed both an organised drive and several days of self-drive. Rene was always around, along with his small staff, to ensure we were comfortable.

The house is situated in the perfect spot where we received a lot of traffic from all the animals. The wall that is around the boma is perfect for close interactions with the animals but provides enough security so as not to feel threatened. Overall the house was amazing.

1. Marloth Park is an excellent location to visit the Kruger National Park, with a short drive to the crocodile bridge. 2. Limited options in the way of restaurants and what is offered is not great. 3. Limited options for shopping for essentials. There is a SPAR, but if you catch it during the wrong time of day, prepare to que. 4. There is family run retail store called INGWE supermarket. Very friendly and I suggest trying the koeksisters. 5. BOMA Butchery is in the same shopping park and have a good selection of meats for the braai. 6. If at all possible, take everything with you in cooler boxes, especially the items you cannot live without as you may not find them. Overall Marloth park is simply an excellent gateway into the Kruger National Park.

Marloth Park is a great central spot for a weekend in the lowveld. It is tranquil, quiet, and makes you feel like you're slap-bang in the bush. Some of the properties are close to each other so you need to be mindful not to walk across private property. It is also not a place for partying or for loud noise so if you're looking to be festive it might not be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a quiet breakaway in nature that's super close to the Kruger, then Marloth Park is your spot!

We love Marloth Park.

We love Marloth Park. Most of the accommodations we have stayed in have been very comfortable and good value for money. What we love most is being able to feed the many animals that visit the properties!

Friendly and down to earth people. Nice vibe!! Excellent for people seeking something different. If you love nature and animals this is a nice stay. Loads off other nature scenes and activities in surrounding area i.e. Kruger National. There is no shopping malls and luxuries so if you do prefer more to do or entertainment this is not suitable.

Staying in Marloth Park was an unforgettable escape — exactly what a bush getaway should feel like. Animals roam freely through the park … zebras, giraffes, warthogs, kudu — giving you that genuine safari feel without needing to go far.

The area we stayed in was quiet and safe.

The area we stayed in was quiet and safe. I liked that there were a few restaurants to choose from, even ones affordable to South Africans. The SPAR that did deliveries was a bonus. The local, permanent residents were super friendly and always ready to point out animals in the adjacent Kruger National Park. The roads off the main road are gravel, but if you drive slowly, it is easily managable. We bought a 40kg bag of pellets for the wildlife and enjoyed putting it out for them.

I loved the location of the property within Marloth Park as well as the layout of the property. The fact that every room had an ensuite and air conditioner was a major plus especially with the hot temperatures. The house was fully stocked with bedding, pillows, towels, blankets, cutlery, crockery etc and had a dishwasher and washing machine which is a great plus too. The house was clean, but I would have liked a few less spider webs in places, I know it is nature, but with a fear of spiders would have preferred less :)

We had a good stay at Needles Lodge in Marloth Park. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with wildlife often visible right from the deck. The staff were friendly, and the lodge had a relaxed, welcoming feel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was consistently tasty and generous. Overall, Needles Lodge was a pleasant place to stay, and we’d consider returning—just with a different safari guide next time.

Will definitely recommend. Very quiet and relaxed. Lovely view of the animals in Marloth Park - giraffe, antelope, blue wildebeest etc.. Close to the river for gameviewing and walking. The jacuzzi is a nice touch. Really enjoyed our stay.

The place was simply amazing, it is indeed what you see in the pictures. Marloth park is a nature reserve with animals, so you also see giraffes, wildebeest and other animals besides predators on the way and by the house.
