We were just looking for shelter from the rain for two nights and lucked out with Magoos on 62. Michelle was welcoming, and so accommodating. The rooms were lovely and spacious. The shared kitchen was clean and well stocked with cooking equipment. It was just the most comfortable stay. Thankyou Michelle

Sipreslaan Selfsorg Gastehuis is just perfect - if we could give it a mark higher than a 10, we would. The place is spotless, very well equipped and spacious. The bedrooms are large and the livingroom opens to a porch area with the most spectacular view of the Swartberg mountains. The split peak Towerkop is right there. The porch area has a large picnic table and around the building is another table for two. It has an outdoor Braai and the wood is provided. There is even air conditioning inside should you need it. There are acutally two large bedrooms each with their own private shower and sink. This place also comes with a great hostess - Liza. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we will be back!

My daughter boked this place for us. This is the most wonderful place me and my husband has ever been at. The staff, the food, the house and the wine was excellent. We loved the stay at Mymerings. A perfect stopover en route to Cape Town via route 62. The cottage is a quaint historic building with thick walls and was sparkling clean. We had everything we needed for our stay and especially enjoyed the stoep looking onto the garden with a great view of the mountains. Perfect waterwise garden with olive trees and a good enclosed space for our two little dogs to stretch their legs. Our host Jeanette was most helpful too. We can definitely recommend this lovely cottage!

We should have called the farm manager from Barrydale,...

We should have called the farm manager from Barrydale, because when we arrived at the locked farm gate, we found there was no reception. We couldn't reach him, and it was soon getting dark, so we had to keep driving until we got signal again, which only took five minutes. Wann, the manager, was soon there and opened the gate to paradise for us... remote, behind two other farms, we were able to spend comfortable days in this Karoo resort. Wann was always available, and one evening his wife cooked us a delicious meal. A river, a hot tub, an ice bath, peace and quiet, and an endless sky—what more could you want? This is the place to be for anyone needing a break. For more romance, under the stars, bring candles and reading lamps.

The mountains provide a scenic backdrop to this Klein Karoo town and the opportunity of recreation for the adventurous visitor. If you go during the summer, there's also plenty of delicious fresh produce available. The town also boasts some beautiful Victorian architecture, which is best appreciated on foot.

We didn't really stay in the village but I wish we had...

We didn't really stay in the village but I wish we had booked longer to stay at the lodge. I would definitely like to go back when temperatures are a bit cooler so I can do the hikes they offer during the day. The landscape there is amazing!

Wonderfully laid out with breathtaking views over the vineyards towards the mountains. Stunning central bar/dining area - great architecture and comfortable space. The highlight however where the owners and Penny and Andy and their excellent staff who truly made one feel welcome and at home. Delightful conversations over fine wine and a delicious three course meal. This is an absolute must for anyone travelling through the area around Cango Caves and Ladismith.

We loved the location far from towns and cities. Ladismith is easily accessible, but the farm was tucked away in the mountains, just as we wanted. The house had everything you could wish for, for a long stay. Unfortunately ours was only one night. The welcome can make all the difference to one's perception, and our welcome was wonderful - both warm and professional. All the information on booking, and prior to arrival, was excellent.

Of course we're nature lovers! So we were pleasantly surprised to find this gem hidden in the mountains in Ladismith. The tranquility was just what we needed. Saar, the owner was amazing, she made us feel at home right away! The views as we drove to the country house were spectacular!

Exactly what I expected and then some. Silent, yet a quietly working farm. Excellent onsite staff who bend over backwards to accommodate you, even an offer of "do you need anything in Ladismith, we going there now".... Being greeted at the road and escorted to the farm.
