The Guest house is in a rural location and is a typical charming Karoo farmhouse. The property is well-maintained, and I can recommend the property - partially because it is remote with no television, and weak mobile signal. If you want to get away from it all, this is it. They do have internet for the basics like email, but you won’t want to work remotely from here as they have a limit on what their connection can handle. This is not a criticism, as the reality in rural South Africa is that broadband is not very available, capped, and ridiculously expensive. The owners, Eugene and Debi are fabulous hosts and really accommodating. The evening we tried their standard fare burgers, and I tried the Jalapeño burger and my wife the bacon avo burger and both were generous and tasty burgers. We can strongly recommend it as an overnight and if you intend to really get away from technology while having a great experience dished up with loads of hospitality, this is the place to go

We have nothing but the highest praise for everyone at Bosch Luys Kloof who made our stay absolutely unforgettable. The food, the accommodation, the guides' knowledge of the reserve and every living thing in it - all were exceptional. I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone looking for an escape from hectic day-to-day life, and dreaming of somewhere you can completely switch off and be surrounded by nature. If you really need it, you can get WiFi signal in reception. We used it to check in with family before/after our amazing meals served in the adjacent restaurant. Every meal was perfectly cooked and delicious. We did two nature drives with Sarah and we were so impressed and fascinated by everything she told us about the reserve, the resident animals and history of the whole area. It was a real treat to see so many animals in their natural environment. The drive down into the reserve was a lot of fun in our Defender - the views down the ravine were absolutely stunning - and the welcoming committee (the furious-looking dassies) were a bonus 😂 We would definitely return to Bosch Luys Kloof for another idyllic and peaceful break from reality. Thanks again to everyone who helps to make it such a perfect place to stay!

We loved this home away from home. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Our kids enjoyed climbing the mountain and feeding the farm animals and milking the goats. The delightful atmosphere of the farm has made our winter holiday great. Thank you very much!

This is our third stay, the cottage is sutuated in a very peaceful location. Liza is the perfect host, there is everything provided for a self catering holiday. .Beautiful setting and garden, peaceful location. Hot tub is an added bonus. The guest house is beautiful with a large atrium that doubles as an art gallery. Theres a large bar with pool table and plenty of seating. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are perfect. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves.

We should have called the farm manager from Barrydale,...

We should have called the farm manager from Barrydale, because when we arrived at the locked farm gate, we found there was no reception. We couldn't reach him, and it was soon getting dark, so we had to keep driving until we got signal again, which only took five minutes. Wann, the manager, was soon there and opened the gate to paradise for us... remote, behind two other farms, we were able to spend comfortable days in this Karoo resort. Wann was always available, and one evening his wife cooked us a delicious meal. A river, a hot tub, an ice bath, peace and quiet, and an endless sky—what more could you want? This is the place to be for anyone needing a break. For more romance, under the stars, bring candles and reading lamps.

The mountains provide a scenic backdrop to this Klein Karoo town and the opportunity of recreation for the adventurous visitor. If you go during the summer, there's also plenty of delicious fresh produce available. The town also boasts some beautiful Victorian architecture, which is best appreciated on foot.

We didn't really stay in the village but I wish we had booked longer to stay at the lodge. I would definitely like to go back when temperatures are a bit cooler so I can do the hikes they offer during the day. The landscape there is amazing!

We loved the location far from towns and cities. Ladismith is easily accessible, but the farm was tucked away in the mountains, just as we wanted. The house had everything you could wish for, for a long stay. Unfortunately ours was only one night. The welcome can make all the difference to one's perception, and our welcome was wonderful - both warm and professional. All the information on booking, and prior to arrival, was excellent.

The accommodation is on a beautiful farm outside of Ladismith. The roads are in good condition and lower vehicles like cars can easily access the farm. We where 5 people staying in the cottage. The rooms where clean and is well priced. The lady at the property is very friendly and has embraced us in much kindness even thought we arrived very late at the property. Would definitely go back! 10/10

Beautiful haven near Ladismith. Interesting foliage around stunning, well appointed, luxurious flats and a little original farmhouse. All with little pools. A lovely central area to enjoy a very nice dinner. Christianette was exceptionally helpful with a medical issue in our party, which could’ve been a disaster for our holiday, but she really saved the day with excellent advice & organisation

Great value, great location, and superb hospitality from Debi and Eugene. The burgers for dinner, as well as the breakfast, were delicious. If ever I find myself back in Ladismith, Koedoeskloof will be my first choice!
