A lovely, vibrant, and gorgeous boutique hotel. The rooms were very clean, spacious, beautiful decor with wonderful quality linen and furniture! The pool was refreshing on a hot summers day, and was so inviting. The duty managers were very welcoming and helpful in booking activities for us in and around Hoedspruit. The hotel is very central, and is within close proximity to excellent restaurants, as well as many private game reserves with options of Morning and evening safaris of which the hotel will arrange and book on your behalf. There are also many other activities to do within and around Hoedspruit. Would definitely recommend, and can't wait for our return! Thank you Khiwane, and your lovely team. Lastly, our breakfast included in our stay at the Harvest House Restaraunt was divine! 10/10, with many options.

We had a fantastic time at Safari Moon Lodge! Staff was exceptional. Caroline was amazing, she made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. The lodge is stunning, rooms were huge and beautifully decorated. Breakfast, which was served outdoors in a beautiful garden/pool setting, was delicious. They pay a lot of attention to detail and it was small things like a little snack box for the road, which made the stay extra special. We will definitely come back!

We start our honeymoon in this fantastic place. We spent a few days at this location, and it was definitely an experience we will never forget. The entire place has a special charm, time passes differently here. You can walk around and encounter wild animals, swim in the pool or sit by the bonfire in the evening. We chose to stay in a bungalow, and it was an absolutely unique experience. The room is really clean, the bed is very large and comfortable, the bathroom has everything you need and we saw a lot of animals around the bungalow. Fabian, the owner, is very friendly and responded promptly to all our requests. He helped us with information about safaris and booked our airport transfers. The chef is very talented. Everything she cooked for us at dinner was absolutely delicious. For breakfast, they have a wide variety of dishes you can choose from. Since it was also my husband’s birthday, they helped me prepare a surprise for him and made a very delicious cake. All the staff were extremely welcoming, attentive to our needs, and made our stay exceptional. You can tell this is a place built with a lot of love, and we hope to return here one day.

Our stay was incredible, 5 star luxury from start to finish. The food was amazing, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms had everything we needed. Maria and Reinhardt were extremely kind and helpful with anything we needed and provided great information on Kruger NP and surrounding area. All of the staff were kind and no ask was too much. I highly highly recommend.

Great location In a private nature reserve so we saw lots of animals just driving to the lodge! Such as buffalo, wild pigs etc Fantastic host and staff- thanks Annie! The lodge itself is fantastic, lots of amenities, a nice bar, common area Amazing pool with a umbrella and comfortable loungers. The room itself was modern, had AC (very important in this hear!) The outdoor shower is truly magical. And of course the food was really delicious You cannot go wrong picking this place for a luxurious bush safari experience.

It’s hard to pick just one thing we liked, because honestly, this was one of the best stays we’ve had in all our extensive travels. Missing out on a place like this would be a real shame, the accommodation, interior, and rooms were absolutely top-notch. The location was also perfect for visiting Kruger National Park. A big thank you to Ruan and his wife for making the experience even more unforgettable. Do not miss this spot while you can!

A great location for some rest and relaxation.

A great location for some rest and relaxation. I went on a Big 5 safari game drive, and got to see the animals up close. I also had a heavenly spa experience at Karuna, and visited the nearby reptile park to see some rare snake species. Lots of restaurants around to try out a variety of meals, I went to the Club House and had tasty ribs. Then the breakfast at Aragula is to die for.

Great central point for exploring the Kruger Park, private...

Great central point for exploring the Kruger Park, private game reserves, Blyde River Canyon and many other spots in the region. Many lodges to choose from, tours, charters, restaurants, shopping centers in the town. Agricultural hotspot, with many mango and citrus farms, plus macadamia and avocado farms nearby.

Impressive little town with lots to do in town and in...

Impressive little town with lots to do in town and in surrounding areas. The town had great little shops and amazing restaurants with lovely ambiance and views. It felt clean and the roads recently tarred. The grass of the game reserves' boundaries next to the main roads were all cut which looked well kept and neat. It was just disappointing that it was not possible to do self drives or walks inside any of the surrounding game reserves unless you were staying in the reserve. The Kruger was your only option. My favourite restaurants were the Blue Mountain restaurant, The Argula Experience at Zandspruit and Aerotel. Great trips in the surrounding area were Blyde river canyon boat excursion, Mango Mohlatsi and Maholoholo rehabilitation centre. Had a great trip to the Kruger Park entering at the Orpen gate and taking the Timbavati road to Olifants camp and the river dirt road to Letaba and exiting via the Phalaborwa gate. Saw lots of game following the dirt roads next to the rivers.

I did not stay at Hoedspruit - just used the airport for...

I did not stay at Hoedspruit - just used the airport for transfer to camps. The airport is very small and hot - no fans or air conditioning - but efficient and the staff is friendly. No problems. Very small shop. No cafeteria or restaurant.

A heaven for animal lovers as you get to see them in all...

A heaven for animal lovers as you get to see them in all forms. Excellent town with all the amenities you need for a vacation or to escape the pressures of the city. There are also several interesting stops one can make along the way, such as the Museum of Men or Echo Caves, when driving from the Mpumalanga side.

It is a lovely laid back town with plenty of wildlife experiences Our experience at HESC was memorable with our awesome guide Heike The town has local coffee shops curios and is close to Kruger park and wonderful panoramic drives. Shops like Pick n Pay and Spar are also here for those who have self-catering accommodation

The hotel is stunning! The rooms are big, super clean, and really comfortable. The view from the terrace is just incredible and they provide board games. What really made the stay special was the team. Our ranger, Jandré, was fantastic! He’s so knowledgeable and passionate, and he shared so many interesting things. Tania also seems great, and overall the staff has such a good vibe, which makes the whole experience even better. Honestly, I loved every moment and would definitely recommend it!

My husband and I loved everything about the property. The place was super clean and it had everything one would need. We were just sad that we had to leave, however we have found a new home whenever we’ll be heading to hoedspruit. Christina was of great help😊 very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soonest❤️ Best self catering cottage one could ever get. And thank you for the bottle of wine😊 May God bless you

From its name that pays tribute to its natural surroundings, the art pieces that celebrate African heritage, to the modern look that blends with nature, Khiwane is a thoughtfully put together boutique hotel. Breakfast was delicious, the team at Harvest are true to their fresh food commitment. A Hoedspruit must see!
