My wife and I stayed at Schulphoek for three days as our honeymoon. The facilities are modern and the spaces are exceptionally clean. Even more importantly the staff are superb - always friendly and approachable whilst always maintaining upmost respect and professionalism. This really is an awesome team that can be proud of themselves!

The breakfast was phenomenal. Fruit and muesli and hot breakfast was offered. Staff were very attentive and very professional and friendly. The view over the lagoon is breathtaking. The dining room is warm with lit fires all day and night.

This hotel is a true gem! Right on the beautiful Grotto Beach it is a slice of paradise. We stayed in the beautiful Southern Right Suite, and a suite is is!! The sliding glass doors open to the beach, the breakfast is served on the terrace with views in the beautiful garden. In the evening you enter your room to a burning fire and sit with a sherry watching the fire and listening to the waves. In walking distance is a nice restaurant you can walk to on the beach. The pool is small, but heated and adds up to the perfect experience.

The hotel is beautifully designed. Elegant yet comfortable/cozy. The staff was attentive, friendly and so helpful. The location is perfect. I enjoyed being a bit further out of town and the immediate access to the cliff trail. Breakfast in the terrace was the perfection. My massage was also a delightful experience.

Hermanus has an upmarket laid back feel.

Hermanus has an upmarket laid back feel. Lots of lovely independent boutiques, shops and galleries. Restaurants are plentiful, serving great food and of course great wines too. The wine glass does wine tastings and also good food. We also had takeaway bake and chips from The Walker Bay fish and chip shop - they were excellent! Also worth a mention was Flick’s for Tapas and also Theo’s Greek restaurant. The cliff path is a great way to get some exercise and watch the dolphins and whales!

Lovely views from a scenic coastal path.

Lovely views from a scenic coastal path. Part of the costal path towards the town is in need of repair and therefore closed but doesn’t distract from the great views. During the season whale watching can be great to see. Bars and restaurants are of a good standard, for us the steaks at Chard’s are excellent and well worth trying

One of the most beautiful seaside towns in South Africa, if not the world. The waterfront offers a multitude of excellent restaurant options, and at night has a warm and welcoming ambience. The Sky Bar offers an exciting range of cocktails and has a lovely buzz. The cliff walk is a must-do, offering breathtaking views along the coastline and across Walker Bay.

Hermanus is a very nice place we always enjoy ourselves there people are nice and friendly, and the beaches is nice and clean We enjoy the walkways to and from the beach area. We need more Halaal places to eat or to visit in Hermanus. Thanx very much for everything

Come to Hermanus for the sea views and shore walks.

Come to Hermanus for the sea views and shore walks. You MAY see a whale or two. Lovely drives with restaurants and coffee shops up and down the coast. Excellent mall for all your shopping needs. Interesting shops in the main street area. Well worth a stop to visit. The Hemel en Aarde valley is spectacular and Bosman's Winery is a must for wine tasting and charcuterie boards.

What a wonderful town, we visited 30 years ago and had to go...

What a wonderful town, we visited 30 years ago and had to go back for our anniversary just to discover how much it expanded! We were priviledged to see whales and loved the Waterfront and surrounding restaurants. Absolutely loved the Hemel en Aarde Valley with surrounding wine farms, loved La Vierge and they made it so special when they heard it was our anniversary, brought us champagne to celebrate.

We stayed at Lavender Manor in Hermanus for four days and were very satisfied. The rooms were well-appointed and the service was excellent. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the city, close to good restaurants and the beach. The breakfast was tasty and varied. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations.

Gorgeous hotel overlooking the bay. The staff were amazing, we had such a warm welcome from the hotel manager Kevin and throughout our stay he could not do enough to help us and make our stay so special. The rooms were lovely and breakfast was amazing. Highly recommended for a stay in Hermanus.

The location incredible and hospitality of all the staff was great. The rooms were spotless and the whole experience far beyond our expectations. The breakfast was adequate - and if you want a full on breakfast - go to a hotel or bed and breakfast. The value for money was excellent.
