yes quite a unique place, the "shoe" more Boot really is a great piece of work, the chalets where behind the shoe, away from what is a busy road out front, the owner/creator was of interest, we chatted well together, 2 artists he in his contructions and me in my travels. good to have the shop out front for food and milk. All the staff were good.

The lodge was extremely comfortable, luxurious and relaxing. The rooms were spacious with wonderful views across the bush. seating outside was comfortable and private. The restaurant area and communal lounge area was very tastefully decorated in keeping with nature , local culture and the environment. The information in the rooms was not only extremely informative but interesting across a range of subjects from the local school to the flora and fauna. Peter and Claudia were very welcoming and helpful and we really wished we had planned to stay longer as there was clearly so much to do in the area and we will definitely return the next time we are heading out on safari.

This is magical place. If I knew this is so beautiful , I would book another night or two ! Just imagine - you are in the middle of the rainforest,, sitting by the river, with Mountains in the distance... This is the place. Staff is super nice and helpfull. And its only 1h drive grom Orpen Gate. Perfect!
