The lady in charge took us in the early morning to the trail head, so that we could enjoy a beautiful walk through the red hills.

Like stepping back into a more genteel world. The room was exquisite with fresh flowers and antiques - I’ve never had sheets of such quality in my life before. The food was absolutely top notch fine dining, four courses including fresh asparagus in a delicate sauce and fillet done to your specifications. Breakfast also 5 stars. Service all incredible. Treat yourselves!

What a phantastic place., so quiet and peaceful ! Willem (I hope we spell your name right) is the best host you could imagine, thank you for your kindness. Breakfast and especially dinner are outstanding, what a brilliant chef ! All staff members are very friendly. A beautiful oasis, home away from home but better. The house is equipped with everything you may need, the attention to detail is fantastic and well thought out. The beds are cozy and comfortable and the pool area is such a treat. The host Jako was extremely welcoming and attentive, we cannot wait to return. A close walk to Boplaas and other wine farms and beautiful morning walk/runs to be had.

Gasteria Grange cottage is centrally located, so that Calitzdorp center and also the wineries are in easy walking distance. The lovely owner are living on the same ground and are a good source for ideas how to spend the day. The self-catering cottage has one huge room and an en-suite bath room with a nice huge shower. It is fully equipped, the beds are comfy and there is also a safe parking available. A big plus is the airy, roofed terrace, which can comfortably be used even on hot Karoo days. We can highly recommend staying there!!
