The hotel was in a prime location. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was large and incredibly comfortable. The staff were very friendly and polite. Both breakfast and dinner were tasty and served in generous portions. It was a great stay overall!

If you ever want to experience a really quiet and special accommodation, you have to come here to Hanneke, Kobus and Angelo. Warm and helpful hosts with great tips of what to do locally, really nice accommodations (we had the pleasure of using both) and the wonderful serenity were great. The loudest noises around the campfire in the evening were the crackling of the firewood and the clinking of the ice cubes in the glass - and that with a spectacular starry sky. Simply fantastic. We've experienced a lot on our travels - and it really is one of our accommodation highlights. And if you're here - don't miss the great fillet when Hanneke offers it to you. We had a great time - many thanks to you three. Hope to see you again.

This lodge is truly in the middle of nowhere, but the journey is absolutely worth it. Even though the owners were overseas, they went above and beyond to arrange wonderful caretakers who looked after us so well—including preparing a lovely dinner. The view is out of this world, making the whole experience unforgettable.
