It was perfect for a one night stop over after flying into Hai Phong too late to travel on to catba island. Clean, modern, comfy, great communication with host. It’s more on an air bnb than a hotel. ( self check in and out , pay by bank transfer or leave cash). Down a pretty side alley, quiet, close to shops and food. Was a perfect little oasis for us.

Hai Pong is very interesting and clean city.

Hai Pong is very interesting and clean city. They have a very lovely big park with plenty of beautiful tropical trees for shades. The walkways are always being swept of leaves. Very wide and easy to walk around. People are very friendly and helpful. Few Cafes around park areas and very pleasant to sit and people watching. On the weekend they have plenty toys for the kids to ride on and very bright and entertaining during the night. Place still have a nice pleasant vibes that is Vietnam is known for. Easy to get around can walk in the park all the way to their famous Cau Tre Canal. Don't forget the Banh My Cay which is Hai Pong is famous for.

Most travelers skip Haiphong. This is a mistake. If you travel to eat, don’t skip Haiphong. The food is interesting, delicious, varied and exceptional. We had the best Pho here that we’ve had in four trips to Vietnam. The people of Haiphong are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The city center has a lovely park running through it. The old colonial architecture is rundown in places but interesting to look at. We stayed out of the old city in a modern development, but would stay in the center next time even though GRAB and the city bus are easy to use.

We stopped there on our way to Cat Ba; if we were to do it again, we would have planned our route differently to go directly to the island. The town doesn't have many major attractions, but we received a warm welcome.

A dynamically developing city.

A dynamically developing city. The colonial character of its city center is clearly being preserved. It is definitely worth visiting in late May or early June, when the Delonix regia (Firefly) almost covers the city in flames.

Friendly and simple people.

Friendly and simple people. Delicious food with unique flavors. Try crab spring rolls, crab rice noodles,... Miss Lun's restaurant at Co Dao market, grilled fish in the Kien wharf area... Traveling by Grab taxi is very good (prices are not as high as in some other big cities), easy to call a car... If you are elderly or have children, you should rent a large room. I always buy some of my favorite items at Aeon Mall.

The check in process was simple. We were surprised with the size of the property - we were expecting the room only but had the full property to ourselves. The property was clean, had an equipped kitchen and fridge, seating area and outside balcony. The location was great, 10 min walk from the train station and in walkable distance to most attractions in Hai Phong. Lots of food options nearby. On booking.com it said no WiFi but we had WiFi in the property which was consistently strong through our stay.

Come and stay here you will love it! Central location and a stunning hotel, all of the staff are absolutely lovely, so friendly and went out of their way to help in anyway they could and the ladies on reception gave me daily Vietnamese language lessons. The food is incredible, the cleaners are the happiest people I’ve ever met and made a new friend with one of the security guards.

A nicely appointed, neat apartment in Hai Phong. Huy and his staff were excellent in looking after us. He arranged pickup from Hanoi Airport as well as drop off to the bus terminal.
