⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding stay — feels like home I had an absolutely amazing experience at Kangaroo Homestay in Cát Bà. I’m a solo traveller, and from the moment I arrived I felt genuinely welcomed and comfortable — the kind of place where you stop feeling like a guest and start feeling like part of the household. The hosts are incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to help with anything: tours, transport, local advice, or just a friendly chat. The atmosphere is relaxed, peaceful, and positive — perfect for recharging after exploring the island. Although I travelled alone, I would highly recommend this place for young families as well. It’s safe, calm, clean, and very family-friendly, with a warm environment that makes everyone feel at ease. The location is excellent: close enough to town for convenience, yet far enough away to be quiet and restful at night. Rooms are comfortable, well-kept, and great value for money. If you’re coming to Cát Bà and want a place that offers genuine hospitality rather than just a bed for the night, Kangaroo Homestay is a brilliant choice. I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.

Both the crew and the food. Everyone is very friendly and smiling. Peter is an exceptional guide. The boat was still undergoing maintenance because it was one of his first trips, but everything was great and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was perfect for a romantic moment with your partner!

Very nice owners, very close to ferry terminal. Large and clean room. We forgot a charging cable at the property, came back 2 days later and the lovely owner found and returned the cable to us. 100% recommended.

Nice hotel. Still fresh, clean, and offering a perfect view from the room. The location couldn’t be better for the morning Hai Au Aviation flight. I’ll never forget the feeling of stepping out of the hotel and walking straight to the little plane parked right outside. Breakfast is cooked to order in a bright, spacious restaurant area.
