The staff, the food and the room..... Great

What an honor to be the first guest. And what an excitement in their welcome. The hostel, surprisingly, is right at the university campus of Jizzakh, which offers a unique experience and insight in this city with a strong student identity. I received a comfortable and clean room with, very important in the summer months: airconditioning. There's a kitchen, many shared showers and bathrooms and wifi in the common area. The campus is guarded, so very safe. The thing that stood out most is the incredible hospitality I received. Truly above and beyond. I was invited for a tour around the town, got 2 dinner invitations, got to meet the professors and students, they brought medication when I was sick, helped me with backpack repairs and searching a hiking map, and they even gifted me an Uzbek flag patch for my collection on my backpack. No words. I fully recommend this unique experience of local life and unspoilt Uzbek hospitality and culture.
