A lovely family-run hotel in a quiet side street but close to downtown Piriápolis. Spotlessly clean with kind and courteous staff. A special shout out to the reception staff: Catarina, Elisa, Gonzolo and Horace who were extremely helpful, spoke good English and showed great patience when we attempted to speak Spanish! ¡Muchos gracias! They really did a good job with this place. They packed a lot into a small area. Breakfast was good. The young lady that checked us in was great. Comfy bed. We had ocean view which was very nice.

Good location, just a couple of hundred yards out of the town centre, so it’s quiet. It’s a bit of a hike from the bus station but the reward is that it’s near some of the best restaurants in town and a half hour stroll to San Francisco beach, which is the best in the area. Great breakfast and the pool is a nice touch. The most impressive thing is the warmth and helpfulness of the staff who don’t speak English but cheerfully endured my dreadful Spanish!

We have amazing beaches in New Zealand, so finding...

We have amazing beaches in New Zealand, so finding Piriapolis and its beach was an absolute treat. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly people. We enjoyed breakfast at the Argentino Hotel and excellent coffee at Donna Donas. There was friendly service at other hospitality businesses and at our local supermarket—a great place to do nothing much. It's an easy drive to the big smoke, Punta del Este, for retail therapy and a look around. The wildlife park is an enjoyable diversion from the beaches, should one feel in the mood for a walkabout. Piriapolis may be the best place to visit if you want to have a relaxing time.

Whilst enjoying punta this is more chilled out and a little...

Whilst enjoying punta this is more chilled out and a little bit cheaper, and I mean a little😂 I’ve been travelling for yrs and sunsets have never bothered me, not in the slightest And now I’m questioning everything 🤦‍♂️

Highly recommended if you go with car and use it for moving...

Highly recommended if you go with car and use it for moving aroun the city. If you don use a car, I recommend to stay 5 or 6 blocks to the East of Argentino Hotel and thus you will be close to the beach, restaurants an interest places.

The best thing about Piriápolis is its tranquility; it's ideal for relaxing. The views of the hills are beautiful, the beaches are very well maintained, and there are many restaurants, but they are quite expensive. Everything is 10 out of 10.

It's a beautiful resort, beautiful in every season.

It's a beautiful resort, beautiful in every season. Even when it rains and there are storms, it has good food options and affordable hotels, with attractions to enjoy despite the rain. There are historic buildings and a very interesting energy for those who like to look beyond the surface.

Piriápolis is a beautiful destination... the Film Festival...

Piriápolis is a beautiful destination... the Film Festival was happening right then, making it the perfect time for a Saturday night. Walking along the port, climbing San Antonio Hill, enjoying the sun during the day... and strolling along the waterfront at night. A pleasure to savor at a leisurely pace.

In general all of Uruguay is overpriced,however this is a great little hotel on the sea front with a decent breakfast thrown in, I’ve extended for a couple of days because it’s spot on Small room but designed perfectly,got everything I need and more, very clean comfortable bed and good shower solo traveller requires nothing else If you book this you will be happy with your choice
