Tru always hits it out of the park. GREAT STAFF, every single one is friendly and will chat with you. They don't just sit behind the counter. They love to recommend places to explore in their town! Thank you Annette for the recommendation for Kathy's for breakfast. (We slept too late to eat in the lobby) Their lobby is a gathering place instead of a pass though. Rooms are spotless, breakfast is plentiful and a nice variety.

I didn't eat before arriving so I was trying to find a place...

I didn't eat before arriving so I was trying to find a place to eat that I could drive through. I went to McDonald's to grab something to eat. I bought a spicy chicken sandwich. It was the worst I have ever eaten at a McDonald's. It had 2 small pickles on it. No lettuce or tomatoes. I don't know whether it was suppose to have any or not but the chicken was dry and hard. Even had a burn part on it. I called a friend who is a truck driver and told him about it. He told me to never eat fast food in Staunton. Said its never good. I hate it because it makes McDonald's look bad which actually the one where I am from is very good. I don't know about the restaurants there.

Easy access off and on Interstate.

Easy access off and on Interstate. Many restaurants to choose from. Tru front desk reception was friendly and pointed out the location of all the amenities. Breakfast was delicious! Rooms are very clean. I highly recommend Tru by Hilton in Staunton VA.

A quaint small town with plenty of shops and dives to...

A quaint small town with plenty of shops and dives to explore. From Woodrow Wilson’s birth home and presidential library (you need to book in advance) to the 2 square blocks of shops full of friendly staff who were all smiles when we visited. There are a handful of wineries, a brewery, and a few pubs, as well as a handful of coffee shops. Great views at night with all the buildings lit up, and a great place to see it all would be from the Blackburn Inn!

We like Staunton.

We like Staunton. It's situated in a great location, making it easy to visit Harrisonburg and Charlottesville. We've enjoyed some fun restaurants, quaint shops, lovely parks, a wonderful Shakespeare play, and a visit to the Woodrow Wilson museum here. We chose Staunton because of its affordability during college football weekends, but we've come to enjoy it as a town with charms of its own.

I only stopped in Staunton for an overnight rest on a long road trip. I had trouble finding a decent place for dinner. Somehow, a search of restaurants near me could not find the Cracker Barrel that was next door to my hotel.

Great for shopping, restaurants and attractions close by.

Great for shopping, restaurants and attractions close by. Zynodoa Restaurant had the best scallop dinner and the bar tender recommended a wonderful french wine that was a great pair for the scallops! Would recommend Hotel 24 for the stay, nice accommandations close to shops, restaurants, Blackfriars Shakespeare Theater, and Virginia Scenic Railroad station. Be sure to purchase your tickets online for train ride as there is no person at the station to buy or ask questions. Show your tickets in at the boarding gate. Food served on the Virginia Scenic Railroad was very good. Frontier Museum was very accomandating for seniors. Lots of walking to the exibits which they provide shuttle service.

very nice hotel, located in a parc, very closed to downtown. completely refurbished, with all required confort. Far above usual US standard hotels. Small sort of veranda for breakfast ( very good) with very kind and helpful staff.

Brand new hotel. Everything very clean and modern. Located in very peaceful area surrounded by forests and deer. Window shades excellent at keeping room dark. Was very uncrowded hotel and lobby when I stayed.
