Free breakfast was the best I've had in my travels

First, I was born in Spokane, then swept away as an infant never to return until this summer (at age 72!) when a business trip to Kennewick, Washington for my husband, put me close enough to enjoy 24 hours in Spokane.
The World's Fair of 1974 encouraged Spokane to do a major cleanup of the railyards and the waterfront. The remnants of the fair still exist and the waterfront is beautiful and fun. We rode in a skyride over the waterfall in downtown Spokane. Yes there is a waterfall downtown and it is gorgeous. We also rode on the indoor carousel. We walked extensively in the waterfront area. There is lots of parking albeit mostly paid. We went up to the exquisite Manito Park overlooking the city in a beautiful area of old homes many mid-century or craftsman. We had an amazing breakfast at a restaurant called the Old European, yum.
There is an outdoor skating path in downtown where you can rent skates and it is iced over in the winter for ice skating as they also rent ice skates.

I came to Spokane to meet up with friends and attend the Farm Chicks Show , the home we stayed in was perfect. It was very nice space , comfortable and spotless . Without knowing Spokane at all , the home was in very short distance to Starbucks and the Fairgrounds.

Spokane is a vibrant city with a rich history.
Spokane is a vibrant city with a rich history. Beautiful turn of the century architecture, built when railroads were the king!
Lots of great restaurant options, fun shops, microbreweries. Definitely take a walk on the Centennial Trail along the river, and see the falls. The Sky tram across the falls is fun!

Spokane has good and bad.
Spokane has good and bad.
Food scene and walking the downtown are is good.
Parking is expensive and sucks. Cleanliness and safety downtown especially at night is a concern. The old lyrics, "The freaks come out at night." are appropriate.
Even Spokane is experiencing similar degredation as Portland, Seattle etc.
Why do these cities allow themselves to become so unsafe and dirty? all pretty much run by the libtards.

I only spent my time in Downtown which has nice restaurants and everything is within walking distance.
The best part is the beautiful natural park called "Riverfront Park" where the Spokane river is traversing; there are playgrounds for children, benches for relaxation, jogging trails, a pond with geese and ducks, a small Japanese garden and an open auditorium for performances. The garden with huge trees is magnificent. This park with the natural river in the middle of downtown is uniquely Spokane.

Spokane is a nice city.
Spokane is a nice city. There are a lot of restaurants downtown within walking distance or a short Uber ride. The river area is beautiful and a must-see. As with other cities, the unhoused population is growing, and can be somewhat aggressive, so travel in groups and be aware of your surroundings.
Second time staying at property. Great stay first time, this time hotel was a bit noisy as it sounds like they were doing construction on the room next door. Also had room right next to elevator which did not help either.
Mini fridge was not so clean, sheets had red stains not sure if it was blood or what. I like the location of the hotel which is why it’s my go to for exploring Spokane. I am not one to complain, would stay again housekeeping just needs to ensure sheets/rooms are cleaned properly.
It was a great view of the bottom of haminity. For the low rate of $110 you can see drug dealers selling to hotel staff. You get to see drug use. Get to watch prostitution. Get to see vehicle prowels and hear car alarms. You get to sleep in a dirty bed. You get to share one towel with you roommate. You get to listen to homeless snore when they sleep in the hallway outside of your room. There is significant statistical probability you will get to step in human poop in the parking lot too!
I loved the kitchen, the bed, the brick walls, and the decor. It was clean and comfy with individual heat and cool temp remotes in each room with blinds to keep out the light in the bedrooms. I loved the price with the best location in Spokane. We just popped over to the hotel across the street for snacks and lattes, even though the kitchen had everything to make our own meals and coffee. I loved this place!
Everything is new as advertised and the photos are an exact depiction of what the place looks like. Exceptionally comfortable and clean. The location is very close to the downtown area, not far far from all the major attractions in the area. We really enjoyed our stay. We will make the same choice again if we have to visit Spokane again.
I transferred to this hotel from a dump downtown and it was like being transported from hell to heaven--my room was immaculate, large, and bright, the staff were cheerful and kind, and who doesn't love fresh cookies every evening! I also enjoyed the easy walk to Gonzaga U along the river (I was in Spokane to visit my child there).
I have recently been hotel-ing/ AirBnB-ing it across the country the last couple of weeks and this was the coolest concept I have seen yet. If I am ever in Spokane again this will be my first choice, additionally if this company has other properties I look forward to looking for those first before I look for other hotels.
It's such a beautiful place to stay. I've lived in Spokane before and it was a treat to stay there and compared to other hotels in the US for a similar price it is a great value for how luxurious it feels. Just stayed in Vegas and it was a relief to have actual history and quality rather than the façade.
This is the oldest hotel in Spokane, lovingly restored with real art on the walls. Our room was stylish and comfortable. There was a coffee and tea station right on our floor in the beautiful sitting room. Great location in the historic downtown near lots of restaurants, and easy affordable parking.
Location, the ambiance of the of the whole surroundings of the hotel itself. As well as the brisk walk over the majestic Spokane River, made it most inviting. The restaurant was a warm inviting atmosphere, to relax and enjoy ones company. The service was most welcoming and hospitable...
The location of the hotel is close to amenities and that it is fenced all round gave it an additional sense of security.
The room was clean and had everything I needed, the staff were cheerful and helpful.
The breakfast had a variety of options to choose from
+ Very friendly and helpful staff
+ Conveniently located at Spokane River, just next to Waterfront Park - way better than staying Downtown!
+ Spacious and clean rooms
+ Luxury bathroom amenities (L'occitane)
+ Well equipped gym with new devices
I stay here every time I'm town for business. It's a ways outside of downtown Spokane where I need to be, but the all the hotels in downtown are gross. I happily stay out by airport in a clean, safe place that's farther away
Nice hotel at a good rate close to city centre. Cheap and convenient parking outside door.
Rooms were clean and functional and provided the comfort one would expect for the price.
very nice hotel - authentic - clean and spacious rooms - friendly staff - nice pool & sauna - perfect valet parking - personal service - very nice dinner opportunities
