Monique the manager welcomed us, was always ready for a conversation, and responded swiftly to our requests. The housecleaning staff was professional and performed wonderfully. Hot coffee was always available and the coffee keeper was a gentleman. The shower was as spacious as I have seen, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Thank you for providing plenty of outdoor seating; it was a fun place to visit the road crews at night. A great value.

We were warmly greeted by Dawn, the owner, who gave us cold drinks and great information about restaurants and events in the area. We loved the location because we were able to easily visit Salida and Westcliff. The spacious room had a very comfortable bed, a clean, large bathroom, and nice ammenities such as strategically placed chairs, luggage racks, and boxes of tissues. Elevation Brewing, where we spent a delightful evening, is just down the road with great beer and great company. Afterwards, we truly enjoyed relaxing near the fire pit under the moonlight. We also loved the breakfast next door at the Flamingo food truck--the breakfast burritos were top notch.

This was a pleasant motel that has created a very interesting motif that is fun to look at and be around. The rooms were normal and had all the amenities that you would want but nothing exceptional. The snack room was very useful and you could access coffee and snacks even though these were not offered in the room and there was no breakfast offered at this location. Depending on your food habits, what they offer in their snack room could be perfectly fine for your breakfast.

Salida is a small mountain town with a big vibe!

Salida is a small mountain town with a big vibe! It is great to walk around to the various shops and plenty of places to pop into for a beer or meal. It was nice to see the old Victoria restored. There was live music and it was packed! Shopping at Ruby Blues, Mooney Goods and Yolo are always a must! Boathouse for a light dinner and the Thai food trailer on 50 located at the Salida Distillery. Grabbed our delicious breakfast at the Crepe Blue Trailer! An authentic French crepe is all you need to get your day started! with a cup of Mountain Phoenix coffee!

Blocked off downtown to-apparently lower vehicle traffic-but decreased available parking-a bit difficult for older people, we ate at the Boathouse as we have for years as well as Amicis (spelling) plus a family Mexican restaurant on hwy 50 as regular stops for us.

I actually just stayed in Salina to go white water rafting...

I actually just stayed in Salina to go white water rafting with the Brown Canyon rafting company in Buena Vista. The rafting experience with them was a five star.. I picked up breakfast from the Brown Dog Café, which was excellent!

Salida is a beautiful town and the gateway to some of the most beautiful places in Colorado. There are great breweries nearby and a few good places to eat, especially Moonlight Pizza and Boathouse Cantina.

Salida is a wonderful spot along the Arkansas River and at...

Salida is a wonderful spot along the Arkansas River and at the base of the Sawatch mountain range, which is home to 15 of the 58 fourteeners in Colorado. It is also near the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. We highly recommend Moonlight Pizza and Brewpub. We have gone to Moonlight Pizza several times over the years when visiting Salida. several times. They have a dog-friendly patio and great beer, and the pizza is really good!

Nice small town with lots of outdoor activities available,...

Nice small town with lots of outdoor activities available, including river rafting and skiing at Monarch. Our 9-year-old grandson rode his bike everywhere, with his parents' permission, and we felt he was safe. There were parks with nice playgrounds for his 2 and 4 year old cousins. We will go back!

Very nice rooms. Comfortable, clean and decently sized. Staff were friendly and professional. Dog friendly. Hotel grounds are well maintained, with a nice area for my service animal to potty. Hotel situated in good area with a lot of activities and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend.
