Portales reminds me of my home town; just a small somewhat...
Portales reminds me of my home town; just a small somewhat rural town based around industry and a college. Lots of local businesses with the right mix of chains and big box businesses like Wal-Mart and McDonalds. Very nice town, quiet and peaceful.

First thing, I requested a ground floor room, because i am a disabled veteran with a bad back and hip. They put us on the second floor. With no elevator I had to get baggage up and down stairs .
The first room had a water leak on the toilet, the second room had a mattress from 1960, the springs could separate ribs.
After requesting a ground floor room for the third time they finally moved us down stairs the last 2 days of our stay.
I will never book in this hotel again.

The rooms are always clean. The beds and linens are always perfect and the atmosphere of the hotel is amazing. its quiet and very relaxing
