United KingdomStaff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean and comfortable and came with adequate amenities. Having a microwave in the room was an added bonus. I will be returning to stay again in the near future. Happy to have found somewhere to stay that felt safe and secure as a solo traveller.

We didn't spend much time in Newberry, but it's close to...
We didn't spend much time in Newberry, but it's close to Tahquamenon Falls, which are spectacular ... especially the Lower Falls. Also, Crisp Point Lighthouse is amazing, in spite of the 18-mile rough road.

Didn't stay long enough to discover Newberry but we loved...
Didn't stay long enough to discover Newberry but we loved Timber Charlies, recommended for supper by front desk staff. It's an exceptionally professionally operated restaurant, from initial welcome and table assignment to service throughout the meal. The place was humming, tables were being over three times in the course of the evening, the staff all worked well together like a well-oiled machine. Food was great, too !

The beds were pretty comfy so we didn’t wake up in time for breakfast. The location was pretty central to what we wanted to do-about 30 min from the falls and 45 to an hour to pictured rocks. There aren’t very many restaurants around but we did manage to find a spot for dinner in town and there is subway and McDonald’s if you don’t feel like sitting down. Staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us fresh towels and emptied the garbage every morning.

Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 1 review
The space was well thought out and easy to host our family of 12. I love the 4 bathrooms, wraparound porch, easy to work in kitchen, and ping pong table in the basement. We loved having access to Lake Superior as well as Muskalonge lake, and the kayaks were a great surprise. The host responded quickly when we inquired about the path to Lake Superior.

It was close to where we needed to be. The room was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The desk clerk gave us a room on the ground floor an near a door, which was nice because my dad is 92 and not very mobile. That was greatly appreciated.

Breakfast was okay. We thought the fall decorating done in the breakfast area and throughout the hotel was really beautiful. Staff was kind and very helpful! Only downside was no elevator with all our luggage. But the price made up for it. Well done!!
