The staff was very nice and the fire place in the lobby was a nice, cozy touch. The round the clock hot cider was my favorite. The jacuzzi in our room was great as well. Ample room to stretch out and relax.

We didn't spend much time in Newberry, but it's close to...

We didn't spend much time in Newberry, but it's close to Tahquamenon Falls, which are spectacular ... especially the Lower Falls. Also, Crisp Point Lighthouse is amazing, in spite of the 18-mile rough road.

Didn't stay long enough to discover Newberry but we loved...

Didn't stay long enough to discover Newberry but we loved Timber Charlies, recommended for supper by front desk staff. It's an exceptionally professionally operated restaurant, from initial welcome and table assignment to service throughout the meal. The place was humming, tables were being over three times in the course of the evening, the staff all worked well together like a well-oiled machine. Food was great, too !

Front desk staff was very friendly & had helpful information about the area. The lady manning breakfast was on top of everything & did an excellent job of keeping the breakfast “nook” supplied. The breakfast was surprisingly varied and what we had was very good for a hotel “grab & go” breakfast.
