The property is beautifully landscaped and the buildings are set apart from each other so there’s a sense of spaciousness with gorgeous, lush common areas. I LOVED the very low exterior lighting. Just enough to see where the garden borders are but not so much that the stars were blocked out. I loved that there were pet waste stations all over the place; it really gave a vibe that my dog was welcome there. The “partial river view” from my room was only “partial” because the river is half hidden by a terraced garden, which was not a problem for me at all; not like if it was blocked by another building. The view was beautiful! Incredible value for money!

Thistledown on Oak is a 5-star property located in Hood River. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar.

It’s a charming old hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it’s right in the centre of hood river, which is also a lovely town.

Beautiful room, amazing foyer, and bar area. cool elevator, and lovely staff. amazing gardens and river running through with a waterfall.. It is one of the most amazing places we have stayed in. A shame was only for a night. was also a great price!!

Everything was clean and comfy. Reception desk was really kind and helpful, helping with the booking of a cab for the return back to Portland, as well as allowing for a early check-in. Really nice place to stay.
