What not to like, the hosts Nance and Thom are so welcoming into their lovely home. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. There are lots of nice restaurants in the vicinity and for breakfast you can stay in as they prepare a fabulous breakfast with fruit (if in season) from their own back yard (which is huge btw). If you are going to Shenandoah and this place is avaible look no further! A place with a heart Ps.if you have the chance to be there at 5:30 you can enjoy a nice drink at their bar!

The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The whole building is fabulous, steeped in history, and the rooms all have their own personality and character, with wonderful features in each room. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal, the products were locally sourced and delicious 😋 The town of Stanardsville is lovely and has a great shop called Noon which features local artists. You could spend hours in this shop!

When can we come back?! One night is not enough to enjoy this incredible place! We were two French guys on a road trip through Virginia and we found here the best landscapes, the best local food and the best people. It was an incredible experience and we couldn't get tired of watching this beautiful view of the mountains on the rocking chairs. Dinner and Breakfast were delicious!

We had a wonderful vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We stayed in a room in the main house, which was quaint. There was a fireplace instead of a TV, which made for a quiet evening. Unfortunately, it was cloudy when we stayed, but the starry sky must have been beautiful. (We were fine, but perhaps some of you may be concerned about the water pressure in the showers.) During the day it was clear so we were able to explore the trails. It was beautiful as well. The food was very good and we were very satisfied. We would like to visit again in another season.

Amazing from start to finish! Breakfast selection like nothing we've seen elsewhere...biscuits and gravy, eggs, hashbowns, hard boiled eggs, grits, oatmeal with toppings, red velvet or original waffles you make, lots of cereals, pastries ad muffins, 4 types of coffee creamer and all types of condiments (Nutella, peanut butter, salsa, jams, etc... Even had mints and candies at front desk and gog treats for pets! They are renovating and we got a newly renovated room! My husband says we need to plan another trip just so we can stay here again...lol.

Staff were excellent, brilliantly professional and prepared to go the extra mile for us, the lady on the kitchen was so polite, lovely and everyone said how nice she was. Outstanding service and the rooms were neat, clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend Comfort Inn and stay with them again.
