Staying at the motel was like stepping back in time. Car parked right in front of my room door, coffee maker and 1970s shower, it was fantastic. I was reminded of my childhood in California. Breakfast was a series of little to-go packages, kind of a joke but I wasn't there for the breakfast. In a post-Covid world the motel simply isn't set up for serving breakfast, and there is a wonderful, amazing, and very tasty breakfast place less than 100 meters away. (Try the poached eggs on savory Greek yogurt with chili butter. Very different, very filing.)

Los Gatos is a quaint little town with lots of cute coffee...

Los Gatos is a quaint little town with lots of cute coffee shops and restaurants all within walking distance of the Tollhouse hotel. The Southern Kitchen is a great spot for breakfast in the morning. A lot of quaint boutique shops. Awesome walking trails!. Getting around fairly easy. Only 30 min to Santa Cruz beach.

The view was spectacular and the bed so comfortable. I would have liked if there was a kettle there to make some tea but overall the amenities are great with a very cool aesthetic. Getting to have breakfast while overlooking Los Gatos & the bottom of San Francisco bay was really lovely. The smart TV, which I initially thought was a mirror, was a very nice touch for hanging out in the evening & watching a film.

The location in downtown Los Gatos is perfect, a couple of minutes walk to shops and restaurants. There was good parking on site and (limited) inclusive EV charging. The room was spacious and clean and represented good value for money for the location.

Great location for getting into my office in San Jose but close enough to los gatos which has plenty to offer for nice evening out whether it be bars or food. Very clean but basic rooms.
