This was the feel I was looking for during our entire 2 week trip. Ground floor, greenery, on the beach. It was absolutely everything that I had expected of Hawaii.
The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, Ka'anapali is situated between North Ka’anapali Beach and the mountains of West Maui.

It was a hopeless faulty towers experience where staff were both incredibly unhelpful, unwilling to assist, didn’t know what they were doing etc. I really would not recommend this accomodation as value for money. You expect at this price range a luxury experience and it was anything but.

I liked the location of the resort. The Concierge and fronts desk staff were nice. The cat refuge was great. The store was a good place for the little things and coffee.

BBQ facilities, pools, comfortable beds and proximity to beach.
Kahana was a convenient location for West Maui activities.
Kahana was a convenient location for West Maui activities. The Napili Market had exceptionally higher prices for their products than other markets. Simple bread crumbs for pork chops riveled nearly the same price as three pork chops. Products at the Ritz Carlton Market down the street were more reasonably priced.

The area is a bit away from the swimming beaches, shopping and dining, but it is very convenient location for driving to these areas, as well as other areas in Maui. There is a local bus service that runs until about 8:30 PM, so that is also handy. Very quiet area in the evenings so you can get a good nights sleep.

We had a third floor condo with a great ocean view. Turtles entertained us daily and sunsets were great. No AC was no problem with plenty of fans and ocean breeze. The pool was under construction so that's too bad but it should be great when finished.

This is the windy side of the island (Maui is the windiest island anyway) and there are lots of condos and places to stay and eat in this area. Easy to get to and a short drive to Lahina and about an hour from the main airport.

The beach across from the hotel is not for the faint at heart. Strong undertow and waves that can knock you down. There are also rocks protruding out of the sand that hurt if you get caught by a wave. I would suggest a beach at the park. There is a beautiful boardwalk along the ocean behind the Weston that is open to the public as is any beach in Hawaii. The one thing I would avoid is the Road to Hana. In my opinion it is not worth losing a day over a hairraising drive with many curves, very few places to pull over to look at the scenery and dense and tall vegetation that hides the views. Too much traffic and drivers that do not pay attention to the conditions.

The best part was the view. It was outstanding!
The best part was the view. It was outstanding! It was breath taking.
Unfortunately, they were working on the ocean barriers during the day. The owners gave full notice so it was no fault of theirs. Overall, the family would stay in the same place again. It was a beautiful setting, clean accommodations and had a wonderful time.
Loved the location being right on the water! When you went down the stairs to the right it was a great spot to swim and snorkel, saw multiple kinds of fish from that spot and saw a few sea turtles swim by. Location was great as it was walking distance to coffee shops, Papi Ohana cinnamon rolls, restaurants (The Fish Market and Pizza Paradiso were both A+) and a park/beach. The kitchen was great as we cooked multiple meals in the condo. Everyone was very friendly. Also was a very short drive to Black Rock Beach and to Kapalua Bay.
Location was wonderful. The pool has 2 BBQ's for cooking steaks etc and eating in. There are great food shops across the road as well as several take out restaurants, plus a food truck alley and a good grocery store (Times) a short distance away. Also across the street is a Boss Frog's that provides great snorkeling/beach gear as well as ocean trips and an ABC/ gas within a 5 minute walk away. Within the unit our internet was excellent as were all the amenities.
The location was very great, it was just next to the water. No easy access to the water sadly, because of the rocks, but it's still very pleasant that the water is about 10 meters from your front door. At 3 minutes walk you can get to the beach.
Never seen the host, don't know if that is a plus or minus.
Aside from the parking issue we loved the unit. Great location, nice pool, well equipped and furnished and convenient to shops, the beach, food trucks, the supermarket, etc. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again our next time on Maui - - and will figure out how the parking works.
Less expensive condo in the great location. Kahana Sunset has beautiful grounds and its own private beach. I’ve been to all the beaches in Napili area and this one is absolutely the best swimming beach for me - no people, clear azure water, no waves, great for kids.
Location, 4 beach chairs, comfortable beds. Booking.com helped us after 6 days of trying to work with Vacasa around serious termite issues. Other than checking-in for a parking pass, onsite Napili Point management does not handle this property.
Lovely apartment with everything we needed, next to beautiful small beach, away from the crowds. Supermarket, cafe, restaurants nearby and bus to other areas. Daily sightings of sea turtles while swimming was just amazing!!
Access to the beach was great
Bed and pillows were comfortable
Front desk and security people were very nice and friendly
Cooler and chairs available for use was nice
Having maui coffee and snacks was great
