Beautiful and relaxing hotel with lots of nice decorations on the inside. Rooms are comfortable and themed nicely. Easy check-in for out of hours. Lots of vending machines etc to help with little odd things that you may need.

Everything in the lodge was very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and easy to sleep in. The kitchen even had coffee! And the proprietor, Gail, is the kindest and most accommodative person. We enjoyed our stay, and will visit again!

Good place to stay for visitors to Rocky Mountain National...

Good place to stay for visitors to Rocky Mountain National Park or other attractions nearby. Lots of restaurants and bars for such a small town. A lot of stuff closes early, but there was one place open after midnight for the late crowd.

I really enjoy staying in this beautiful little town.

I really enjoy staying in this beautiful little town. My dog and I love to paddle board. We go to Shadow Mountain Lake for that. What I appreciate about Grand Lake is early morning walks by the Lake with my pup. He’s a Lab and loves swimming. I also like it that I can walk to dinner with him and many restaurants allow him to sit with me while I eat. He’s very obedient and happy. He loves all the attention he gets ;)

Thirty eight fantastic years of second home ownership in the area, lost in the East Troublesome Fire. That said, Grand Lake is still awesome, RMNP with entrance restrictions, a better experience. 4th of July fireworks over the lake worth the effort. Repertory Theater an unexpected gem. Modern boardwalks, great library, decent food, recommend the Sagebrush for casual dinning, moose on the loose!

Grand lake is a cute little town with easy access to Rocky Mountain national park. A lot of neat little shops and restaurants and a big selection of places to stay. There is one Main Street and almost everything is either on that street or down a side street so very easy to navigate around without a car.

Really nice area to visit RMNP.

Really nice area to visit RMNP. I've always gone to Estes Park, but this side is more tranquil and has a variety of different activities to enjoy besides the RMNP (without the long entry lines and large amount of visitors on the trails) - lake kayaking, river float fishing, whitewater rafting, etc. Limited restaurant options, etc., but really quaint town right on the lake.

Getting around Grand Lake is very easy.

Getting around Grand Lake is very easy. If you go in the warmer months - be sure to go kayaking (or your watercraft choice) on the lake! It is SOOOO beautiful & peaceful. If you go in the winter - check out the snow shoeing or cross country skiing at the golf course (tip - you can take your dog with you!!). This is one of my favorite places to visit in Colorado.

We felt immediately at home, very spacious apartment with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a big living room + kitchen. The view from the balcony was amazing, especially at the sunrise. The kitchen was equipped with everything and the bed was super comfy. The location is ideal, walking distance to the lovely Town of Grand Lake and close to the National Park. We will definitely come again!

The location is the strongest point - we LOVED walking to the beach and also being able to walk to all of the good restaurants. Parking can be a hassle in Grand Lake and it was nice not to worry about it. It is also a view you can’t beat - absolutely gorgeous!!!
